Hangin' 18!

Today was my day to post over at Third Coast Creative Coterie and I decided to post a card that was special for me in more ways than one...  Yes, it was fun to stamp and color but it was made even better by the main "character"....  a Snowboarding Basset Hound!!!

Hangin' 18!

Supplies:

Third Coast Rubber Stamps – Snowboarding Hound DT-093-H; Let It Snow WS-079-C; Snowy Evergreen CM-252-O; Tree Line Set CM-065-O; Distant Hills FA-237-H; Grass in Snow AP-464-CC; Patch of Grass CH-089-FF

Archival Ink, Distress Ink, Stickles Glitter Glue, Ink Blending Tool – Ranger Industries

Georgia Pacific Cardstock

Couture Cardstock

Double Stick Foam Tape

Bic Markers

Masking or Scrap Paper

Instructions:

 1. Stamp the snowboarding hound on a scrap of white cardstock and color as desired.  (Bic Markers were used for this card.).  Trim and set aside.

2. Stamp an evergreen tree on each side of the card panel using Archival Ink.  Stamp one additional evergreen tree on scrap or masking paper and trim.

3. Cover one of the evergreen trees with the mask and stamp the Distant Hills about midway up the tree.  Move the mask to the second evergreen and stamp the Distant Hills a second time so it looks like it’s connected to the first set of hills.

4. Stamp the “Line of Trees” image using the same technique of moving the mask between the two trees.

5. Color the images as desired.  I water colored this card using Distress Inks.

6. After the image has been colored, stamp the grass and grass in snow a few times to add depth and interest.

7. Stamp the sentiment using blue ink in the sky area of the card.

8. Add a bit of glitter glue here and there to highlight the snow on the trees and ground.  Let dry completely.

9. Affix the snowboarding hound to the card using double stick tape.
