Wee Wee Wee....all the way home!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you're feelin' fine and enjoying the day.

Today I've got another shaker card for you using one of the new Sparkle Blend mixes from Doodles Paper Playground. This mix is called This Little Piggy.  I was thrilled when I saw this mix because I like pigs - LOL!!  As it happens I had this new darling little piggy die from Gina Marie which was perfect for this card.

Fun huh? Can you see the nifty little pig faces in the mix? Aren't they the cutest little things? Anyway I made this card by first painting a watercolor sky and grassy field using Kuretake Gansi Tambi watercolor paints.

After the paint had dried I cut the little pig from the painted paper and I also cut the barnyard silhouette (Gina Marie) from Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper (Rinea). I assembled the shaker on the back side of the watercolor paper then affixed the barnyard on the front just below the horizon line. I printed the sentiment off my computer and added it to the bottom of the card.  This panel was then attached to a kraft card base.

He's a sweetie isn't he?

Have a lovely day my friends - stay inky!!

Doodles Paper Playground - This Little Piggy

I used the brand new mix - Love Hearts - for this card.

Love Hearts Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends image 0

Isn't it so pretty...I love the embossed hearts, such a pretty addition to this mix.

I wanted to go big with this card so I started off by die-cutting the ornate heart (Spellbinders) from Silver/Gold Glossy foiled paper by Rinea and built a shaker box on the back of the diecut. It was filled with the Love Hearts mix and backed with Gold/Gold Starstruck foiled paper to help make those pretty pinks, reds and other colors in the mix pop.

I also die-cut Cupid and "Love" (Gina Marie) from Rinea foiled papers as well. These were all popped onto a card that I made using some vintage Valentine's papers from My Mind's Eye mounted on a red card base.

I hope my card inspires you to get your shaker on!

Tag You're It!

It's a tag challenge over at Lost Coast designs and here is my first tag....

The background is a mix of Fireworks! spray spritzed onto my craft mat then picked up with the tag.  I applied a couple strips of washi tape and I then stamped the circles background over top.  I colored in some of the circles with green sparkle marker (LOVE IT!!)  Grandma was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and colored with a variety of colored pencils - I gave her a few green sparkles as well. She was fussy cut and mounted on the tag.  Her dog friend was stamped directly on the tag and his eyes and toes were colored with a white marker. Finished it off with the stamped sentiment, faux gemstones and some very brightly colored fibers.

Do YOU smell cake??

What's your favorite?

I recently had a caramel cake with caramel frosting....mmmmm!! It was delish.

Be sure to join in on the fun...

A Little Valentine's Day Treat

Hello All...I hope you're having a wonderful start to your week!

Today I wanted to share with you a little Valentine's Day treat bag I made using Rinea Foiled Papers and some dies from both Spellbinders (silhouette) and Divinity Designs...

Isn't this just darling! The finished bag measures 2" x 4 1/2" and is 6" tall at the top of the bag or approx. 8 1/4" tall when you include the handles. It's a really nice size for all sorts of goodies.

I made the bag by adhering the foiled paper to plain white cardstock then die-cut the following:
2 sides from Blush/Gold Glossy foiled paper
1 front (with the cutout) from Ruby/Gold Glossy foiled paper
1 back (plain) and 2 handles from Ruby Starstruck foiled paper

I added a piece of Turquoise/Gold Glossy foiled paper behind the design on the front panel and the silhouette cut from Ebony/Gold Glossy foiled paper to the front of the panel. After that all I had to do was glue all of the pieces together. It's so quick and easy but the results are stunning.

I think any Valentine would love to receive this goodie bag don't you?

Supplies:

Rinea - Ruby/Gold Glossy, Ruby/Ruby Starstruck, Blush/Gold Glossy, Turquoise/Gold Glossy, Ebony/Gold Glossy
Divinity Designs - Card Caddy & Gift Bag (CBD313)
Spellbinders - Sweet Letters
Adhesive(s), Paper Trimmer

Happy Little Flurries - Guest Designer for Doodles Paper Playground!

Hello everyone, I am thrilled to be a guest designer for Doodles Paper Playground for February and March. I think you're going to love the new release - so many fun Sparkle Blends to choose from.  I wanted to share what I created using the Happy Little Flurries blend.

Don't you just love all the lovely colors - pinks, purples, iridescent white, blues and more. This blend is just perfect for those cool frosty mornings!

I started off by cutting the window in the kraft snowflake paper from Unity Stamp Co. I also diecut a scallop frame out of Rinea Turquoise/Turquoise Starstruck foiled paper and the snowflake insert (Spellbinders) from Sapphire/Gold Glossy foiled paper (also from Rinea).

I assembled the shaker on the back of the kraft paper and mounted it over a card base which was covered with a mat of the same Sapphire/Gold Glossy foiled paper as the snowflake frame. To finish off the card I diecut a fish-tale banner and stamped Let It Snow (MFT) with Paradise VersaFine Clair ink; popped two of the lovely holographic stars on it and affixed it under the shaker.

Just look at that sparkle!!

I hope you enjoy my creation and stop back in and see what else I've been creating with more fun Sparkle Blends.
