Jumbo Flowers with Rinea Foiled Papers

Good morning friends...I hope you're all doing fine this bright and beautiful Sunday morning.  I wanted to share my latest Rinea foiled papers project....my jumbo flowers!

These flowers are so very easy to make and they add such a WOW! to your door decor. I choose Blush/Blush Starstruck and Lavender/Lavender Starstruck but you of course could make them from any color in the lovely line of Rinea foiled papers.  I also made the centers with various designs just to show what you could do with it. There are all sorts of different patterns and designs you could make for the centers - just let your imagination run wild!

2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop - But First Coffee

Welcome friends...my final card for the Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Hop of 2020.

I absolutely love this set of digital stamps from Polka Dot Orchard. It is called He Said Coffee. It's got some really great vintage looking images in it and my favorite is this handsome gentlemen fixing his own coffee. I think he looks dashing in his apron enjoying his brew.  The coffee beans are from the Spill the Beans set which I used yesterday.

It's also my very first card I digitally arranged!!!  You see I'm very much a paper, ink and paste kind of girl...digitally challenged you might say.  But I decided I wanted to use these images and I couldn't really print them all out and layer them without some very complicated fussy cutting so I decided to give it a go.  I did print the beans and sentiment (from a Graciellie Design set) separately and add them to the card once it was colored.  I am very please with how it turned out for my first go at a really digital card.

I hope you all have enjoyed the cards I've made as much as I enjoyed making them. I'm hoping to find something else to challenge me into creating more in the coming days.  Until then, bottoms up!

2020 Spring/Summer CLH - Spill The Beans!

Final day of the Coffee Lover's Hop and the second to last card I have made for it....

I had SUCH fun coloring this image from Polka Dot Orchard's set called Sack of Beans. Now you might not think brown bag, brown beans, grey shadow requires much thinking but I used probably 20 - 25 different colored pencils in total to achieve what you see here.  It was fun to futz around adding layer after layer of color. Very relaxing really. I hope you like :)

2020 Spring/Summer CLH - A Bubble Tea A Day...

....Keeps Reality Away!

Well, it's a happy thought anyway - LOL!!  Seriously, if you haven't tried bubble tea you should. It's a fun change.  This card was made using the Gracielle Design set Bubbly Feels. I turned the bubble tea container into a shaker card which I filled with the new Sparkle Blends - Spill the Bubble Tea.  The pattern paper is from Unity Stamp Co and it is called Coffee Lovers Paper Pack.

This was such a fun card to create and well, it's lots of fun to shake it up as well ;)  LOL!!!

Hope you're having a great week and enjoying my coffee cards. I've got a few more I want to squeeze in before the end of the hop so there will be at least one or two more posts today and maybe one or two tomorrow....we'll see how far I get.  I must say this has been a fun challenge for me. I've not had the creative bug since Grandma passed away - this hop has giving me a reason to create. It's been very relaxing to make these cards. I hope I can keep it going.

2020 Spring/Summer CLH - Everything Better

Today just some fun coloring outside my usual comfort zone...

I normally don't use much orange or yellow but today I thought I'd give them a try. They seem so bright but I hope you like :)  The cup and sentiment are from the Graciellie Design set called Coffee & Love. After using yellow and orange I fell back on my favorite blue for the coffee sleeve.   I used Prismacolor colored pencils to color the image.  You can't really tell from the photo but the coffee is mounted using foam tape to pop it off the card.

This lovely image is from Di's Digital Stamps - Coffee Shelf. It's such a sweet image and it's perfect to make the oh so popular skinny/slimline card.  The sentiment is from the Graciellie Design set called Coffee & Love.

Hope you're doing well and enjoying your day!
Stay inky my friends!!

2020 Spring/Summer CLH - Sweet Vibes

A sweet shaker....

A coffee shaker card using this lovely image from Stamplorations. The sentiment is from a Graciellie Design kit - Coffee Lovers. The background paper is from Unity's paper pack - Coffee Lover.

The sprinkles are from the new Sparkle Blends mix called Iced Coffee...I love the little fimo hearts and the square printed bits. So very pretty!

2020 Spring Summer CLH - Marshmallows...

Here with a favorite...hot chocolate!

You are the Marshmallows to my Hot Chocolate!

This is a set from Graciellie Design - Coffee or Cocoa.  The spoon is from My Cute Lobster. I used a piece of burlap to mat the card and the image was colored using Prismacolor colored pencils.
So marshmallows in your cocoa....

yes or no?
I love marshmallows so I say yes!

2020 Spring Summer CLH - Don't Make Me Kill You

Back with another fun coffee themed card for the Coffee Lovers Hop....

This gem is a digi stamp from Wonderstrange - Coffee Deprived. Isn't she great!!! I feel like this most of the time right now - LOL!! The sentiment is computer generated using the Matisse font.   Background paper is Unity's Coffee Lovers paper pack.

2020 Spring Summer CLH - Skinny Card

I am having fun making these cards...

I decided to make a long skinny card and I used digital images from My Cute Lobster - Coffee Digital Stamps. They are simple but so darn cute. I colored them using Prismacolor and Staedtler colored pencils. The background paper is Unity's Coffee Lovers Paper Pack.

More to come :)

2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Hop - Day 1

Welcome Friends!

Today is the start of the 2020 Spring - Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.  I just commented and ooh'ed and ahhh'ed over the creations last year and this year I decided to join in on the fun. I'll be posting as many coffee/tea/cocoa cards as I can get done...so there may be lots of posts or only a few. We'll just have to see how things go. I thought I'd start off with a card featuring a variety of elements....

I just love how this card turned out. I love green and as it happens one of the new Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground is So Matcha Fun! I was so inspired by the colors in this pretty sequins mix I decided it would be my first card for the hop.

The images are digital stamps from Graciellie Design - the cup is from the Stay Strong set and the sentiment can be found in the Bubbly Feels set. The cup was colored with a variety of colored pencils and then turned into a shaker by cutting the center out of the heart.

I used the Sparkle Blends - So Matcha Fun both inside the shaker and on the card it's self.  You can't see it in the photo but the cup is covered with a piece of acetate to make it look like a real take away glass.

Supplies:

Colored Pencils, White Cardstock

Hope you all join in the fun!!

My second card is made using the Sparkle Blend - Spill the Bubble Tea! Have you ever had bubble tea? It's so much fun - Morgan and I had some at the State Fair and it was really good and well fun!

This blend is made up of a nice neutral blend of sequins, Fimo bubble tea's and  other bits. Super cute for loads of projects.

Gnome-y Fun...

Hello Friends - Happy May!  I thought it would be fun to share some Gnome cards I've been making lately.  Lost Coast Designs has a whole slue of new gnomes and gnome homes stamps at the moment and are they ever fun.  It's fun to use different mediums to color them with so that's what I've been doing lately.  I'm on a use what you have kick so you may see some papers/mediums that are a bit out of date but still beautiful :)

Two Gnomes paired with vintage G45 Bohemian Bazaar and a teal velvet ribbon. These gnomes were colored with zig clean brush markers.

This little dude hiding in the daisies was colored using both markers and colored pencils. The background is "watered down" (with alcohol) alcohol inks.

Finally the Gnome Trio...so much fun, it was colored with various markers and the background is Doodle Garden which was stamped with Silver Delicata ink. It's got such a lovely shimmer IRL.

Hope you all are doing well, staying safe and gettin' a little bit inky!
