Guess What?!?!

Excited to share some news with you all....

I was asked to join the design team of a new-ish Canadian Etsy store which features AI generated collage images....

Conjurer of Dreams!

Each month I will be sharing my creations made using their images. This month I used a combination of images from their Etsy store and a couple free images that Kim (the owner/creator) shares on her FB Page - Conjurer of Dreams Inspiration Group.  I invite you to come and take a look as she has lots of wonderful artists on her team that share lovely makes through out the month as well as a new challenge each month.

Here is what I created this month for the theme Winter Morning....

Shaker card - I used StazOn Cotton opaque ink to stencil on a snowflake design directly onto the acetate which was wrapped around the background and filled with sparklie goodness.  I added the sentiment, image and lots of fun bits.

For this card I wanted to really make the snow shine so I added lots and lots of glitter...you know how I love the stuff ;)  LOL!!

This is one of the free images from the COD Inspiration group page.  I printed it on X Press It cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

The background for this card was made using various Distress Oxide inks. I then added the Arctic landscape and polar bears. Again...glitter was used in abundance - LOL!!

Finally I used this cute pair of penguins which were a free image on the FB page as well.

Hope you enjoy these and the projects I will be sharing with you all in the future. I am very excited about next months theme....Gothic Romance!!!! I can't wait.

Pondscum & Pretending to be normal!!

Hello Friends - my day to post over on the Lost Coast Designs blog for our current monthly challenge - #181 - Anything Goes!

Today I have a card made using my favorite colors...green and blue.

I wanted to make a bright card using lots of color so I stamped each image using a stamping tool adding more and more color each time I stamped the image. The background image - Pondscum - was stamped using 4 shades of VersaFine Clair green ink while the main image from the Phrenology Set in shades of blue.  I stamped the sentiment - Pretend to be normal -  on a piece of cardstock that I colored with water color crayons.

Without change...

Today I wanted to share a card I made using the current digital stamp for this months challenge over at Gecko Galz...

I LOVE this image. I decided I wanted to use blue (my fav. color) for this butterfly. I know it's not realistic but I like it all the same and hope you enjoy it as well. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and X-Press It cardstock. If you've never tried this paper before you should. It is amazing - so easy to blend colors and such a smooth silky finish.

Add a Little Sparkle

So, the Christmas challenge at Gecko Galz is to use a specific image for your project. Well this month's image was so very pretty I was having a hard time deciding what to do with it. When an image is perfect what do you do? Adding a background paper would have detracted from the image...embellishments - nothing would really enhance it so I went here....

Ahhhh...glitter makes everything better. I think it really adds and elevates the image.
I LOVE this card. I added 6 different glitters to make what you see here.
Yes, I have glitter on my cloths, in my hair, stuck to my fingers but I don't care...it's so worth it.

A Lovely Valentine

With Valentine's Day just around the corner Gecok Galz challenges are just the thing to get going on holiday projects.  Their monthly challenge for January is All You Need is Love so I created this...

It's an 8" wood heart that I decorated with lots of lovely Valentine's.

To begin I covered the heart with some sheet music that I had dipped into pink and red marbling ink. I used Mod Podge and it stayed tacky so I used a bit of mica powder to take the tacky away and add a lovely shimmer.

I then cut a pocket from the Love Me Do Junk Journal and adhered it to the heart.  I then filled it with the image of the couple and lots of fun vintage valentines.  The red hearts are some of the left-over blood from my Gothic journal page from earlier in this month. I didn't want it to go to waste so I covered a vintage book page with the remainder of the ink/glue mix.  It made a nice skin to cut these hearts out of.

Steampunk Ladies Bracelet

To Finish off my day of jewelry making I decided to make something to satisfy my inner Steampunk princess....

I used digital stamps for the image transfers onto the acrylic charms from the Industrial set. I then used the ATC Background - Oxidation behind the images.

Sexy Little Mermaid Necklace

I was on a roll with mermaids so I also made this fun little necklace...

Isn't she something special? It's a bit difficult to see but she's setting on a crab. He doesn't seem to mind though - LOL!!

Vintage Mermaid Key Holder Necklace Pendant

Hello All... I have been taking advantage of the snow storm....which sort of turned out to be just 5-6" instead of the 8 they were calling for and finished a few jewelry projects that have been sitting here in various stages of done-ness.

The first one I want to share is this...

It is a key holder that I have added all sorts of good stuff to. The images are from the following Gecko Galz collage sheets - Mermaid, Beachy Jewels, Sea Nymphs, Little Mermaid Jewels. I also added beads and charms from my stash.  I didn't have enough "vintage gold" chain for the necklace part so that will be added at a later date.

I had so much fun making this...I hope you enjoy!

Van Gogh ATC's

Each month Gecko Galz host several challenges where they provide an image or collage sheet for you to create with. This month's ATC Challenge features art by Vincent Van Gogh and here is what I created....

I really love these as blue is the predominate color and my favorite. I especially like the quote I found on the center card...  There are only 3 colors, 10 digits and 7 notes; it's what we do with them that's important. -Jim Rohn.  So very very true.

Lost Coast Designs - Challenge #181 Anything Goes

Lost Coast Designs has changed their challenges from bi-weekly to a full month long - allowing everyone more time to play!!

Since this is my first post of the new year for the design team I couldn't help but make a new years card and the ladies are helping me welcome it in...

Aren't they a fun bunch. It's the Waiting for Mr. Right stamp - they are perfect for so many occasions. I just love them.  I also used the sentiment from Party Words...this is a fun set because there are sentiments that are vertical as well as horizontal. So very handy!

I hope you have a chance to join in on the fun!!
Happy New Year everyone!!

Count Your Rainbows...

My creation for the Gecko Galz Card Challenge

I thought the sentiment fit perfectly...

Beware - Gothic Journal Page

Here I have a journal layout for my Halloween Junk Journal using the Gothic Challenge image from Gecko Galz.

I had so much fun making this... the raven is the challenge image for this month's challenge, I used lots of vintage papers to frame him.  I also added some cool wood pieces I found on etsy and some fake Mod Podge "blood" driping down the page.  I made the blood by mixing some mod podge and alcohol ink together.

I LOVE how this turned out!

New Year, New Challenges - Sophisticated Gentleman

It's been a while since I've been able to craft a bit but we're having a snow day here today so I took advantage of it and decided to participate in a couple challenges at Gecko Galz (they sell collage images/kits).

The first challenge I decided to participate in was the Steampunk Challenge....

I used the porthole embossing folder and center die from Lisa Horton which I then used copper and gold metallic rubons to highlight.  I added lots of gears (Memory Box) which I cut in metallics as well.  I used a piece of acetate for the window.

Inside the card I added this sophisticated Steampunk gentleman which was mounted on metallic paper and added a few more gears.  I didn't add a sentiment because I'm not sure what I want to use it for yet. I will add that when I use it.
