Well I've shared several different ideas on altered charms over the last two weeks and I wanted to re-cap and share what I've shared so far... In pin form of course ;)
List of Altered Charms (and links) so far....
I have loads more ideas to share but the other day I promised that I'd be giving away some of these charms to not only the people who have joined the Altered Charm Swap but all of Ink Stains readers.
Sooooo if you'd like to be entered for a chance to win one of these two altered charm pins simply post a comment below telling me what your favorite vintage item is to use on your cards, collages, scrapbook pages, altered art projects, etc. It could be vintage sheet music, vintage buttons, old maps, maybe tickets, or pen nibs or anything really.
If you'd like to have your name entered into the drawing twice you could also name a vintage item that you'd like turned into a charm. I'm not promising I'll be able to create them but it would still be fun to hear about them and give me something to work on for the future.
If you'd like a third entry post a link to this thread on your own blog, a forum or other place you like to hang out on the web. Be sure to come back and leave a link here so I know you've posted it.
You have until 2-25-11 (yes, that's the due date for the Charm Swap) to post your answer(s).
Good Luck Everyone!!!

THese pins are gorgeous Roni! I really love how they turned out, so very unique. One of the things I love to use on cards are my grandmother's old buttons. Since I am running low on them, I use them sparingly these days and usually use them on cards for family members. I of course include a note to let them know that the button is old and that it belonged to our grandmother.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to see you do something with vintage medals. I have lots of old medals that belonged to my husband's grandfather and Dad from The Spanish American War and WWII. I also have a few medals from his grandfather from when he worked in the NY City Subway system back in the early 1900's. Right now they are sitting in a box, but I'd love to do something with them besides put them in a shadow box.
