Say Yes to Amber's Dress!

In addition to the Direct TV/Internet guys come today we had a very serious family issue arise today so I didn't get to work in my craft room at all. 

BUT, I did want to share our own version of Say Yes to the Dress!  I have to tell you I had lots of fun...it's just like the show but Amber had about a dozen ladies there to support and I think confuse her - LOL!!  Everyone had opinions but in the end nobodies opinion outweighed her inner joy when she finally made her decision.

Having 2 boys I have to tell you I've never set foot into a bridal shop before so this was a totally new and unique experience for me.  (When I got married I wore my Mom's dress...which fit me perfectly nearly 20 years after she wore it.)  Anyway, it was VERY busy when we arrived...lots and lots of girls trying on not only bridal gowns but formal wear, brides maid and prom dresses....not to mention all the little kids running around.  

I am so proud of her...she looked great in everything she tried on!  She's 5 months preg (due 6-25) and just kept going and going.  Anyway, without further delay here are the dresses she tried on (in order)....

Which one do you think I liked the best??

I think since this is such a special occasion it calls for a little give-a-way!

    Dress #1 is just so beautiful... and #7 too... I think that these two suit her the best but if I had to chose just the one it would be... #1 :O)) She looks beautiful in all of them... guess I am rubbish at trying to make decisions LOL x

    Oh how I love #7! I think it is the most flattering on her and is just plain ole breathtaking. However I feel like she may have chosen #6 by the look on her face. I must say though she really looks great in them all! :)

    I think she looks lovely in all of them, but I thought no. 2 (especially) and no. 6 looked quite stunning on her. But whatever dress she chooses for her special day, she will be wearing the most becoming accessory, happiness! :-)

    I think I like #3 the best. Very classic, nice lines and I think it flatters her figure the best. Soft and flowing too. I love all of them actually....love a pretty bride!!!

    Dress #1 is my favorite. I like the ribbon at the waist and think that's a nice way to pull together wedding colors from the bridesmaids and the flowers. She looks great in all of the dresses! Probably you two chose dresses 2 and 6! Anne, yourmainestamper

    Oh my gosh, what fun! A big congrats to the whole family. I love Say Yes to the Dress - I have to say that Dress #2 struck me immediately. It's so very elegant. I know young women these days love the strapless look, but that dress has a certain something. Tee hee, I hope she's not going to read all of these comments - more confusion, poor dear!!!

    She looks lovely in them all but number 2 has the edge on all the others... for a couple of reasons: it has as much interest at the back so people get to see a lovely view while she as the altar and the halter neck suits her figure, bustline and shoulders and that extra overlay on the front will be a real help as the baby grows into a pronounced bump!

    Dress #2 is beautiful on her. Love the detailing on the back. Bonus that it looks similar to one that Sookie on Gilmore Girls wore for her wedding. (The actress who played Sookie is now Molly on Mike and Molly.) Second choice for me is #3. But #2 is my favorite.

    I love dress #2. It is beautiful, classic looking, and very flattering. She looks great in it, and I bet it would look great in the wedding pictures. But I know most of the brides like the strapless ones. But they spend part of their time pulling them up!

    Oh I love how she looks in dress #3. Both front and back of this gown are beautiful. I think this would be a comfortable dress as well. No fears of popping out or a need to constantley tug up on the gown. This is a day you want to be totally confindent in your gown and I think dress #3 fits the bill.

    I do like no 3 on her, I also like no 2 but 3 is the one I would choose for her if I could. Overall it gives her a nice shape

    She looks beautiful in all the dresses but my personal favorite is number 3. Something about the chiffon skirt just makes me go all soft and squishy, LOL! I also love the lace and green ribbon tie on number 1.
    Can't wait to find out which she chose and which your favorite was!
