O.k...I'm sure we've all gotten those crazy chain e-mails from someone in the past. I'm sure more than just one and probably the same one multiple times.
Today I got one from my mom that I thought would be awesome if you took it and turned it into an altered book or even a mini scrapbook album for a friend!
Here is the e-mail....
To my Best Friend...
1. When you are sad,
I will jump on the person
Who made you sad
Like a spider monkey
Jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!
2. When you are blue,
I will try to dislodge
Whatever is choking you..
I will jump on the person
Who made you sad
Like a spider monkey
Jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!
2. When you are blue,
I will try to dislodge
Whatever is choking you..
3. When you smile,
I will know you are
Plotting something
That I must be involved in.
4. When you're scared,
We will high tail it out of here.
5. When you are worried,
I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse
It could be until you
Quit whining, ya big baby!!!!
6.. When you are confused,
I will use little words.
7. When you are sick,
Stay away from me
Until you are well again.
I don't want whatever you have....
8. When you fall,
I'll pick you up
And dust you off--
After I laugh my rear off!!
9.. This is my oath.....
I pledge it to the end.
'Why?' you may ask;
-- because you are my FRIEND!

Friendship is like peeing your pants,
Everyone can see it,
But only YOU
Can feel the
True warmth...

I can think of so many fun ideas to go with each one of these little bits. Each item could be turned into a page spread and highlighted with whatever tickles your fancy. They could be personalized with events you and your friend shared that remind you of the particular phrase.
Just imagine what fun this would be!!
I'm thinkin I might just give this a go!
Sound interested???
Maybe we could do it together and feature a different technique for each new page spread?!?!?
What do you think?
Yes, no, maybe?!?!?
Let me know what you think!
i love the idea!!! you really got me thinking about what i want to do with it! (got the perfect person to give it to...) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! It sounds like great fun.
ReplyDeleteI think you should do a weekly or biweekly event for each section. People would make whatever kind of art form for each section, and then post a link on your blog, or maybe have you put them all together in a slide show the following week.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you decide to do, count me in. (as long as it is legal)
This is so great!!! My DD would love this, so think I'll make it into a b-day card for her! You gotta have a great Mom out there to share this with you. Tell her HI for me!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea! Count me in! My goodness, this idea have enomous possiblilities! We could do every page together as a group or for "sentimental reasons" each person in the group could do a different page and then we'd have art work to cherish from each other that we could keep as a reminder of how much fun we had making our mini-book together,plus...who made what page is inspiring...I am always inspired to see other's art work!! Just a thought!
ReplyDeleteI have a site that I offer free images and clip art! I could post tons of stuff to go with this theme!

This is too precious to ignore. Will have to add this to me "to do" list.
ReplyDeleteThis is way cute! I bet it would make a fun altered!
ReplyDeleteI love this Roni! Too cute and funny and I wish I'd had this earlier - LOL! I had been working on a mini ablbum/book for my best friends birthday, this would have been great to incorporate a few. I just finished it on Friday and bound it with the Bind-it-All! Hmm, wonder if I can add a small tag somewhere and put one of these on it? I am leaning towards the "Friendship is like peeing your pants"! LOL!!!!
