Reunion Club Scrap Blog Hop & Give Away!

Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!

Today is the "Reunion" kit Club Scrap Blog Hop!


I was thrilled when I saw the "Reunion" collection - the colors are so beautiful and I love the fanciful designs for both the pattern papers and stamps.  I knew right what I wanted to make...I saw a conversation on Facebook about one page projects and thought it would be a fun challenge to see what I could come up with using one 12x12 sheet for the base of a creation.

I must admit it sounded lots easier than it actually was but I finally was able to come up with a mini brag book that you can tuck in your purse with room for several photos - anywhere from 10 larger sized photos to any number of the smaller photo sizes I've seen out there recently.

I know initially this little album looks quite unassuming...


But once you untie the ribbon and it starts to unfold you quickly realize just how much room you have to share your photos....

And it keeps going....the underside of the flaps even have a space for journaling, notes or simple identifiers as to who is who.


Finally once it's all the way opened up you'll be amazed at all of the real estate you have for photos of family and friends!


 I am just so tickled with how fun the finished album is and it all started with just one 12x12 sheet of cardstock!  Of course for the finished album I used quite a bit more paper for all of the layered photo mats and other bits but that's what is great about this project.  You can use as few or many extras as you'd like.

    We are home on the range- honey with Star Trek and me in my studio! My days of out and about- phew- glad they are over with! heehee

    That book is delish eye candy Roni- those pages/papers remind me of F.L Wright - very cool!!

    LOVE it! I can't wait for the directions to come out tomorrow. I am so going to scarp lift this one!

    I will be attending a goodbye party for a neighbor tonight (ends around 9 pm) and then it is off to bed for me... maybe some TV first? Nothing exciting. I have 2 little ones and hubby doesn't like to go out and do stuff around loud obnoxious crowds...

    I, too look forward to the directions for this brag book....I'm in the process of making a couple brag books myself for neighbor and their daughter for her newborn little boy.
    We just like to relax at home with a good movie.

      Love your creation- the papers looks very art deco-yumyum. After work today I will join a friend and his family for newyears eve dinner. Tomorrow on New years day I will enjoy a quiet day and start to celebrate my birthday. I also plan on talking to alots of family members and friends around the country.     I just love this one page album! What a lovely idea for gift giving to friends and family or just for your own personal use!
    For NYE we are staying at home with a quiet dinner and movie with my family. Maybe a game or two of cribbage, a little crafting, and a few jokes along the way!

    This reminds me of a flip book project we did at retreat - but with pre-cut papers. I look forward to seeing how you created it! We're still not sure what our NYE plans are - we're out of town and sort of just exploring and enjoying being together for the night.

    Roni, I love this little album. Such a great idea. Since my dear hubby and I travel every week, we are wearing our favorite jammie pants, cooking a steak and grabbed some king crab legs from Costco. That and a nice bottle of red wine and some cuddling on the couch is our plan!! Happy New Year!

    Love the album. For New Years, I woke my hubby at midnight gave him a kiss and he went right back to sleep! Like the idea of coming back again to see the instructions and the suspense of who will win the album. Great fun, Pauline

    I know I'm late! But we had the best NYE ever. Our son and DIL and two granddaughters are visiting and the 17-year-old planned and cooked the whole dinner -- mmm good. The 15-year-old settled into my craft room and made the beautiful decorations. We set up the dining room with the "good" dishes and had a lovely family evening, ending with champagne.
