Gloss & Glitter - Faux Floor Wax Technique - Cont.

Continuing with the Gloss & Glitter Technique today. Before I get to the cards, I wanted to address a couple questions/comments on the first part of this technique...

Someone mentioned waiting to stamp the transparency until the end. Yes, you can wait to stamp on the transparency instead of stamping on it first. It is totally up to you. Purely a personal preference. Several of the examples I have to offer were stamped before I began, the rest as you will see were stamped afterwards. The ones I stamped afterwards were made using Rangers Adirondack Acrylic Dabbers :)

Another comment was made about the acid content of regular every-day tissue paper being an issue for scrapbooking. While that normally would be an issue in this case it's not. The tissue paper in this technique is encapsulated in the multiple layers of Glossy Accent bacially forming an envelope around the tissue paper.

On to the cards.....

The first 4 examples were all made by stamping the transparency initially using Archival Ink.

(Not sure what happened with this card, the colors are very off....the image isn't nearly as dark, the gemstones are a baby blue and the brads are silver not gold.)
The following examples were made by stamping the images on after the glossy accents, tissue & stickles were added. All were stamped using Rangers Adirondack Acrylic Dabbers. The Oh Happy Day card was stamped both before with Archival Inks and afterwards with Acrylic Dabbers & embellished with rub-on flowers.

  4. These are just stunning. I never thought of doing a darker transparency mix and then using white ink or paint on the front. I am definitely gonna try that.
