Isn't this a fun one?

Morgan made this....not sure who made the pattern paper but the die-cut words are from Sizzix which were cut from Ebony/Glossy Gold Rinea Foiled Papers.  The garland is something from the Dollar Store (which has been in my stash for years).  She hot glued it into the top corners & center then draped the remainder around the bottom to fill it up.

Dewlet Laurel Wreath

Did you know that Imagine now has a darling little die that works with the Dewlet Ink Pads???  Well they do and it's just cute as can be.  We have been sharing different ideas on how to use it and today is my turn.

In keeping with the season I made a Laurel Leaf Wreath - Dewlet Style!

Each one of those little leaves is actually a die-cut dewlet ink pad impression that was cut using the Dewlet die-cuts!   While it was a bit time consuming I think the finished wreath is well worth the effort!  It now graces my door welcoming all visitors with it's style and beauty!

Carve December 2018 #5

Welcome back for another stamp carving.

If you recall one of my first stamps was a cow head...well I wanted to accessorize her and today is the first of a few extra pieces.

I made her a little headdress of flowers :)

I just quickly watercolored them with a few Kuretake Gansi Tambi watercolors.

This is a favorite of mine...

Silver Bells

I know you can't really tell from the photo but the background on this is blue glitter cardstock (hobby lobby) - it's AMAZING IRL. The letter die-cuts are MFT which was used to cut Rinea Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Papers.  The shadow box was lined with green wired garland then filled with bells.

Carve December 2018 - #4

It's Tuesday....

and time for another carving.

Today I wanted to add to the wildflower/weed bouquet I'm working towards so I decided to try my hand at a foxtail.  They are all over Indiana in the summer time and I love them because of their soft fuzzy seed head.

I'm not particularly happy with this so I may try again later in the month.

Today...

Fly Agaric Mushroom

This is a large one - it's a little over 3.5" tall.  I'm going to be making some smaller ones at some point to use in a grouping along with some other related stuff.

Christmas Shadow Box #1

If you recall I had mentioned that I was going to be sharing some shadow boxes that Morgan and I made for my Mom's card club... well here is #1

This is a 4" square shadowbox - The lamp post and carolers are from a mini scene set, the Christmas tree is a piece of wired garland that I bent into shape; star for the tree is a polymer clay gingerbread star; background sheet music from Farm House Paper Company.

Carve December 2018 1 & 2

Hello Friends!

CarveDecember means it's time to pull out the pink stuff and start carving new rubber stamps!!  This year there is an official list of things to carve but I have chosen to do my own thing...  I want stamps that I will use, not something that someone else decides on.  

So today I have the first 2 stamps I have carved...

Day 1

I love cows and it's hard to find nice looking (semi) realistic cow stamps so I decided to make my own.  I'm going to be making some accessories for this cow in the coming days....think flower wreath, cow bell, etc.

Day 2

I also want some "weed" stamps so I started off with this thistle stamp.

I'm thinkin' maybe some grasses, wildflowers and other weedy looking stuff for a nice bouquet.

We'll see what the month brings.

2019 Artist in Residence - Imagine

So excited to share the news that I was chosen to be on the 

2019 Artist in Residence Team for Imagine!

I can't wait to share another year of inky goodness with you all!!

It's Gettin' a Bit Frosty!

Honestly I can't believe we are starting the final month of 2018.  

I just don't know where the time has gone. 

That being said it's going to be a month packed full of crafty goodness!

This month over at Lost Coast Design instead of having 2 challenges we are going to celebrate the entire month with one very "cool" challenge....that challenge is "FROSTY"!!

To start it off I wanted to share the Mistletoe Goth Princess...

I went with cool blues and purples with a couple nice fresh greens for the mistletoe.

She is layered on Rinea foiled papers which really add a pop of color to make her stand out even more. The snowflakes are also die-cut from the foiled papers.

The image was stamped using VersaFine Clair Nocturne then watercolored with a blend of Kuretake Zig Clean Color watercolor markers and Memento Dual Tip Markers.

In other news....

This month is "Carve December" month!!  Where artists from all over the world take up the challenge of making a hand carved stamp each day in December.  I took up the challenge last year and had so much fun I decided to join in again.  This month there is a prompt list but I don't think I'm going to follow it too closely. I like being able to carve whatever pops into my head at the time.  I'll be back later today with my first creation if I get it done in time otherwise I will post both tomorrow.

I also have another fun sharing planned for this month...as some of you may remember my Mom belongs to a card club - she likes to make different gifts for the ladies each year and this year she enlisted the help of Morgan and I to make shadow boxes!!  I am so excited - they all turned out so cool I'm going to be sharing all 12 of them every other day or so.  I hope you enjoy seeing them!!

Plus of course I'll have all sorts of other projects sprinkled in here and there...
