31 Days of Halloween - Day 11

Boo!

Time for another card for the 31 Days of Halloween!

Today's card was made using the spider and web stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry's Spookytown set.  The sentiment is Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  I also added a fun border by die-cutting Violet/Starstruck Violet Foiled Paper from Rinea.

A couple closer looks...

Supplies:
Rubber Stamp Tapestry - Spookytown
JFF Stamps - Happy Halloween

Inktober 2018 - Day 11 - Cruel

Welcome welcome to another inky day...

Today's prompt was Cruel
and my interpretation...

Had some trouble with my waist "lines" - LOL!!
But I think it really fits the prompt.
It was either this or a bra ;)

Inktober 2018 - Day 10 - Flowing

Welcome friends to another day of InkTober2018!

Today's prompt - Flowing

I went for lava...I didn't know how to draw the steam though...
It's actually white ink over the black...
not sure if it translates or not.
Below was my inkspiration.

What do you think?

Mr King of Halloween...

Welcome to Day 10 of the 31 Days of Halloween...

Today I'm sharing a creepy Edgar Allen Poe card I made using the stamp -
over the Skulls & Bones background from Carmen's Veranda.

A bit wicked looking isn't he?
Scare the pants right off of you if you're not careful!

The image was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and I then set about coloring the image with all sorts of media...colored pencils, markers and a bit of watercolor thrown in for good measure.

Once I was satisfied with the results I trimmed the image and mounted it on a piece of Violet/Violet Starstruck Foiled Paper.  Really makes it pop on the bones background.

Supplies:

Lost Coast Designs - Goth Poe
Carmen's Veranda - Skulls & Bones
Imagine - VersaFine Clair - Nocturne; Memento Dual Tip Markers
Rinea - Violet/Violet Starstruck Foiled Paper
Prima - Watercolor Confections
PrismaColor Colored Pencils

Shimmery, Shiny Pumpkin!

Hello Friends!
I hope you're having a spectacular day!

Today I wanted to share a beautiful shimmery , shiny pumpkin with you.  I made this beauty using foiled papers from Rinea - Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, Marigold/Marigold Starstruck Foiled Paper, a bit of Mocha/Mocha Starstruck Foiled Paper and Emerald/Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper.  Since it is 3D it catches the light and reflects it so pretty, it really packs a punch for such a small package.

It's perfect for Halloween and on into the fall, best thing is that it is held together with a paper clip just like the old honeycomb decorations were so it conveniently folds flat for storage.

For complete instructions please see my post over at Rinea.

Have a lovely fall day friends!

InkTober2018 - Day 9 - Precious

Welcome, welcome!

I am SOOOO excited about today's prompt and drawing.
So, today's prompt is "Precious" and the first and only thing that popped into my head is....

I'm sure some people won't get this but hopefully "Lord of the Rings" fans will get it... This was quite a challenge because I'm not good at drawing people at all but I'm impressed with how this one turned out if I do say so myself. Far better than I had hoped.

Have a lovely day my precious!

InkTober2018 - Day 8 - Star

Happy Monday!

Ready for another drawing...
Today's prompt is "Star"

Took me a while to come up with this one.  After about 5-6 failed attempts at various "star" items (real stars, star fish, death star, etc) this suddenly popped into my head!  A vintage compass star.  I don't know why I didn't think of this to begin with. I love this type of imagery.  It's not perfect by any means but I do like how it turned out.

Have you tried your hand at drawing yet?
I hope so :)

InkTober 2018 - Day 7 - Exhausted

Another day another drawing...
I'm pretty pleased I've been able to stick with this.
I've not drawn much in years and years but it's been fun.

Today's prompt is Exhausted.

I don't know why this popped into my head but it did...
He's exhausted but looks like he doesn't mind much huh?

World Card Making Day 2018 - Make & Mail

Hello Friends!

Back again with an inspirational challenge for WCMD 2018

Stamp up a store and create a card with matching envelope.

And here you go!!  I wanted to actually start a bit early on making my Christmas cards this year rather than wait till the last minute. I created this card and envelope set using the Joy Clair set Rustic Christmas Sentiments and Rustic Occasions Sentiments paired with VersaFine Clair inks.

The card and envelope are both single layer stamping with a bit of masking to ensure a neat and tidy card/envie.  I finished off the card with a bit of ink around the edges to help with the rustic look I was going for.

Hope you are inspired to play along!
