A Little Robin's Nest...

Hello Friends!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Today I wanted to share a few cards I made using one of the newest stamp sets from Rubber Stamp Tapestry...Robin's Nest.  I had lots of fun with this set and I hope you enjoy...

My first card I decided to make the background stamping the focus. I wanted to make my own pattern papers so on top I stamped the leaf cluster in a diagonal line using VersaMark ink on green cardstock.  Next I stamped the Azalea flower in shades of pinks and purples.  I don't know about you but I have a hard time throwing away the "negative" of some of my die-cuts.  The "hello" is one of those negative pieces.  I mounted it on the card then stamped the little robin's nest inside the o.  It was colored with colored pencils for a finishing touch!

My next card was made by first stamping the robins nest then stamping the leaf cluster over and over and over with a variety of VersaFine Clair green inks.  I found a neat little flower stamp in my RST stash and stamped it in VFC Tulip Red just to give a little pop of color here and there to break up all the green.  The "hello" is a die-cut.

It's funny...when I started out I didn't have anything like this in mind but I just started with the tree branch and robin's nest and it just sort of happened from there. I really like how it turned out though. The background for this card is a VersaFine Clair ink which was embossed with clear EP. It gives it a really nice texture IRL.

Supplies:

Rubber Stamp Tapestry - Robins Nest
Imagine - VersaFine Clair, VersaMark, Clear Embossing Powder,
