It's Just For Fun Friday but we're going to be doing things a bit differently from now on...instead of the color challenge all of the JFF Girls are going to focus on stamps. Each week we will be sharing a variety of ways to use the same stamps. I think this will be lots of fun because it not only gives you ideas on how to use certain stamps together but it also shows how when given the same stamps people come up with a variety of different looks!
All of the cards created this week can be found on the Just For Fun Blog as well as the stamps we were asked to use.
Here are the cards I created this week....
This card was created using a nifty leaf mask and a stipple brush! After I inked the leaf, I left the mask on the cardstock then stamped the pumpkin images. The ink wiped right off the mask so it's good as new! The pumpkins were then water colored using Distress Inks and highlighted with my Inkssentials White Pigment Pen.
I love how this card turned out. The background was created using Distress Inks and my Ink Blending Tool (gotta love the IBT!!). I then stamped the sentiment repeatedly. The corn stalks were stamped and blacked out using the Silhouette Stamping technique I shared with you last month. I stamped a couple extra stalks that I mounted on the card with double stick foam tape. The Man in the Moon and one of the crows is also mounted with the double stick foam.
This is a more traditional look at the corn stalks. The entire card was colored with Distress Inks.
And finally another Distress Ink/IBT background. Love those colors!! The trick-or-treat kids were stamped and embossed with Black ep. I then stamped the image a second time a bit off-set to give the impression of a shadow. The moon & sentiment were both highlighted with Stickles Glitter Glue :)
Be sure to check out the rest of the Just For Fun Girls to see what they came up with...

ReplyDeleteLove the cards and great techniques...masking the leaf and then stamping on it--neat idea! Must try this!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards -- particularly the masked leaf and pumpkins. Looking forward to the new JFF challenge using the same stamps -- may even find some images that I "need" during the JFF sale. :)
