Conjurer of Dreams - Winter Critters

 Hello Friends!

Today is my day to share my creations for the Conjurer of Dreams theme - Winter Critters.

To start off I made this fun set of winter bird Christmas cards. I simply love these images...I couldn't choose one or two so I made cards using each image in this set.

Next I made a few wreath ornaments for the tree using this darling reindeer set!

And finally I made a couple more cards using these darling Highland cows!! Both of these cards were made by printing the image twice, the cow was fussy cut then added to the card using foam tape to pop him/her off the background. I then made them each a wreath - one with jingle bells and the other with tiny lights. The girl got an extra little bow.

Be sure to pop on over to the Conjurer of Dreams blog as there is a new free collage image on each Design Team post. Also, if you have time we are hosting the 2nd Anything Goes Challenge...you can enter any project you like and be entered to win!

A Bit of Christmas Cheer

Gecko Galz posts various challenges each month on their blog. They give you a free collage image and then you create something with it. Today I have my makes for 2 of these challenges...

The first is the Christmas Challenge. I just adore this sweet vintage image. She is just darling don't you think?  Can you guess what the foundation for this is? Betcha can't....

It is a lid from a paint can!!!  We've been painting our building a lovely green - I was gathering up and disposing of the empty cans when I noticed how this lid had a perfect coverage on the inside of the lid. I knew I could do something with it and here it is!

I added some braided Mizuhiki cord, ribbon, die cut flowers and evergreen bits as well as a few gemstones here and there.

My next creation is for the Steampunk Challenge....

He's a fun Steampunk Nutcracker...I printed the image several times and made him 3D then added lots and lots of glitter....you know me and my sparkle ;)

Hope you join in on the fun!!

A Surprise Inside

 Hello Friends!

Today I wanted to share a fun ornament I made recently...

It's a paper mache' pinecone that I turned into a lovely Christmas ornament... I used the most beautiful bronze metallic paint for the base - the shimmer is amazing.

I added some textured snow paste, a bit of glitter (because don't you know everything is better with glitter!!) ribbon, evergreen bits and a few berries. I then added a silver cord to hang it all with.

OH...I did mention that there was a surprise inside didn't I?

Well, when you open it up you'll find a lovely little vintage boy and girl along with lots of fun mini vintage Christmas bits...and more glitter (refer to above)!! I had such fun making this beauty. I hope it inspires you to create an ornament or two this holiday season.

All images are from Gecko Galz.

It's a Witch Thing Flip Book

I hope you're enjoying Fall or whatever season it is in your neck of the woods.

This months theme at Conjurer of Dreams is Witch Wisdom. When I was thinking about this theme I came up with so much good Witch wisdom that I decided to make a little book to hold it all. I decided to make this fun little flip book made from a single sheet of cardstock folded and scored to make loads of space to hold all these great images an bits of witch wisdom!

Merry Little Ornaments

 Me again...

The current Quarterly Challenge over at Gecko Galz is Altered Ornaments...

I was cleaning out my ribbon tower recently and found this lovely trim. I knew it would go perfectly with these fun images. I added half pearls for a classy touch.

The pink sides are from the Victorian Christmas Paper Pack and the main images are from the Christmas Dreamland Collage sheet.  The little bits are from the Compliments of the Season Junk Journal Kit as well as the Altered Christmas collage sheets.

You know me and my sparkle...
I had to add glitter here and there just to spice them up a bit.

Hello Pumpkin!

 Hello Friends!

Just wanted to share a fun card I made using an Anna Griffin die...

Such a fun card! I went with very traditional colors for this one but I think I am going to experiment with different color combinations for my next ones. I couldn't resist adding a bit of pen and ink to the pumpkin...it was just a little too clean for my liking  - LOL!!

A Bit of Witchy Fun

A couple more challenge projects ...

This is the image for the Gothic challenge at Gecko Galz this month.  Isn't she beautiful?  I just love her. Added some gold paper to mat the image, some sparklie rhinestones and that darling little pumpkin.

These ATC's were made for the ATC Challenge - this month's collage sheet was called Vintage Witches. I decided to make some "salt" paper - watercolor paper, inky spray and coarse salt. Always amazing results.

Gecko Galz October Challenges

 Hello Friends -

I hope you are doing well. Today I wanted to share a bit of art I made for a few of the October image challenges over at Gecko Galz.

My first project is the Card Challenge - Isn't she lovely. I used a bit of gold shimmer paper as the mat with some gold leaf trim and gold glitter glue which isn't showing up very well in the photo. I finished it off with a very fitting sentiment.

The Fantasy challenge featured this radiant stag image. I thought he looked very wintery so I made a fun shaker card for him. I LOVE the ring sequins don't you? They are so much fun and add so much interest which I paired with the flat sequins which are ever so popular at the moment.

My next project for the Christmas Challenge is rather large. It is a 6x10 plaque which I upcycled by adding a bit of brown cardstock to mat the bird/lantern image. I printed a second copy of the bird/lantern which I fussy cut and trimmed out the glass area of the lantern. I then used Distress Oxide inks to mimic the original color of the glass.

THEN I added lights!! Which you can see lit in the photo below.  To finish it off I added lots of glitter and faux snow.

and

My final project I have to share today is the Steampunk Challenge and this lovely image of a steampunk maiden with a hat full of flowers. I decided to run with that theme and matted her on copper metallic paper onto a vintage BINGO card and then I added lots and lots of paper flowers with a few mini gears tucked here and there.  I just love how she turned out so she's going up on my wall of art.

I hope you've enjoyed this bit of art and have a lovely week to come!
