Today's calendar technique is VERY quick and oh so easy yet the results are always stunning.
This technique is also one of my favorite ways to use Stickles ;)
Today's technique is Blasted Stickles!
Blasted Stickles Glitter Glue
NOTE: This technique can get a bit messy if you use too much air...it has the possibility to shoot the Stickles quite a distance if you really blast away at 'em! You need to protect your clothing and work area until you get the feel for the air can you're working with.
Supplies:
Stickles Glitter Glue (1 or more colors) - Ranger
Canned Air
Cardstock
Heat Tool (optional)
Instructions:
1. Squirt several dots of your first color of Stickles onto the cardstock.
2. Hold the canned air so the straw is almost vertical. Shoot each of the dots of Stickles with quick short blasts of air. It will create really cool patterns as it splatters the Stickles all over the place.
Tip: I noticed that with some cans of air it has the possibility to "freeze" the Stickles on the spot (Stickles Sickles - tee hee hee). Not sure why it does this but I always keep my heat tool on hand to unfreeze it. Once the Stickles is unfrozen you can shoot it as you normally would.
3. If you are using more than one color of Stickles for your project you should now repeat steps 1 and 2 for each additional color. Let the Stickles dry completely after you have added your last color.
For July I used 3 colors...red, white and blue of course ;)
And here is my finished July calendar page...
So there you go...another fun technique to use with yet another great Ranger product!
