Today I wanted to share a fun card I made using a Christmas image from Susana's Custom Art & Card Designs digital stamp selections. The digital image I am using is the "Happy Holidays" deer. Of course silver and gold are classic Christmas colors but I wanted to do something a bit different so I went with a metallic black (almost blue black) background with metallic copper accents (both DCWV papers). I love how it turned out, I these papers really make the deer and sentiment pop - and it's not something you'd expect in a Christmas card.
This angle shows the metallic shine of the paper a bit more....
And here is a close up of my deer's hat that I embellished with a touch of Flower Soft. I also added a bit of Tuxedo Black Pico Embellisher* for dimension to his nose. The deer was colored with Spectrum Noir colored pencils which were blended with baby oil and the background and edges have a touch of Memento Luxe inks.

That black metallic is sooo gorgeous with the gold accents and fabulous reindeer. Such an elegant card! I'm part of the Showcase as well and am also participating in the 12 at UPA. So fun seeing the different ideas for Susanna's fab stamps. xxD
