Yes, believe it or not Cupid lives in Albion Indiana...at least he does now!
As you know I had intended on sharing the rest of the Olypmic inspired stamping technique today but after we returned home from delivering material to Ft. Wayne we had an unexpected pleasure out at the farm....
Meet Cupid!!!
I am so excited...we didn't have calves last year because we were having trouble finding a Hereford bull in our area. We finally found one and I guess he did his job because this is his first baby... What fun :) I love babies...2 & 4 legged - LOL!!
Here is his momma...she was very protective so I just snapped a couple quick shots so I wouldn't upset her. She didn't like the flash at all. Anyway, he's here, healthy and cute as can be! I'll get some better pics once his mom settles down and relaxes a bit.
So I hope you all are having a wonderful day and enjoying time with your family, friends, sweetie!
Happy Valentine's Day
Everyone!!!
What a wonderful Valentine's present!
ReplyDeleteI love him....my grandparents raised registered Herefords when I was young and the calves are so pretty. I had several named after me as I was the only grandchild at the time, what fun that was. I was raised on a farm in Illinois, almost next door to you but I've moved on to many other homes in my adult live, just recently moved to Tennessee which I swear will be my last home. Thanks for sharing your great art with us all.

ReplyDeleteOh how adorable! Welcome to the world, Cupid!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Roni on your bouncing baby boy, Cupid! He is too cute for words as he looks up into his Momma's eyes. His nose to nose photo had to go on my Pinterest Board, Animal Shenanigans, and of course, I just had to let everyone know to where they could visit him and his 2-legged Momma, here at Ink Stains. You can see my Pin at KayJay61 on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing photos of this little guy and I hope that he will be part of future blogs so that we can watch him grow.
Happy Valentine's Day to all of my fellow members of Roni's fan club!
How precious! I sometimes wonder about animals and birth. We humans get all sorts of special treatment but Momma cows and deer and buffaloes just give birth and get on with life! It is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI grew up next door to a dairy farm. I love cows and their calves (bulls too). They're wonderful animals. Your Cupid and his mom are lovely. Your photo of Mama there is so revealing! I have no trouble understanding how these guys are sacred in India.
