If you hadn't realized it, the second Monday of each month is the day that Altered Pages puts forth it's new challenge for the month. Since it is October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month it's only fitting that we're in the Pink at Altered Pages!
Breast cancer touches so many lives and has such a profound impact on not only the women it effects but everyone who knows and loves them. Please take a moment and read this touching, personal post by Jean Moore (the owner and mind behind Altered Pages) ~ Sunday's in Arizona by Jean. It helps put a face to all the numbers and statistics that reporters like to throw around this time of year.
The AP design team has gotten together to create an awesome array of pink goodness to get you in the mood...(to see all of the Teams pink projects check out the right hand side bar of the Challenge Blog).
I had two projects pop into my my mind and I just couldn't decide which one to create so I ended up making both and here they are...
The first project is my "Fight like a girl" post it note holder...
I found this nifty 4x4 post it note pad at Jo-Ann's a couple weeks ago and I knew I wanted to make something with it this month. The challenge was the perfect fit. I used two AP Collage Sheets - 2161 Thanks for the Support and 577D Ohh La La.
Altered Pages also has these cute little hangers with a heart in the center...
I knew it would make a perfect hanger for this darling bra.
When you undo the little pink bow you find a fun hidden accordion book that you can fill with "uplifting" comments, quips and quotes for that special lady in your life!
Now how fun is that?!?!?
I will be sharing directions on how to make these two projects later in the week/month at which time I'll be giving each of them away so be sure to check back often for your chance to with these two projects.
BUT NOW,
Your challenge???
Think Pink and design a tag, card or anything else centered around Breast Cancer Awareness.
It's not mandatory but it would be cool if you incorporated something from Altered Pages.
Then simply post it on your blog or on-line album somewhere, come back and post a link on the Altered Pages Challenge Blog page before 10-31.
We understand that sometimes things get busy but you'd still like to participate in the challenge. So, while your project doesn't have to be made specifically for this challenge your pink project should be something current (like made within the last month or so) to be eligible for one of the prizes.
There will be one grand prize winner who will receive the amazing PINK package of goodness pictured below and Altered Pages will also away a collage sheet to three honorable mention projects as well.
SO, it's time to kick your creativity into pink mode
and get to creatin'!
We'd like to paint the net Pink this month
and with your help we can achieve it!!
Good Morning!!
