Newspaper Prom Dress
Ds and his girlfriend and I went shopping in FW today to spend our Christmas gift cards. We hit the mall first and saw this amazing dress. I made ds girlfriend take a photo of it so I could share it with you guys. I know this has been done before but I've never seen one in person so I was very excited to see this dress up close..... It was amazing ~ I'd love to give this a try sometime :)

Ooooh! I would love to see one of these dresses up close! That looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Looks like something I could afford to give my daughter for her prom... LOL! Does it have some sort of finish on it? It almost looks waxed. I think this would be the perfect place to use some PYMII (Preserve Your Memories II Spray). It would make the paper water proof and therefor actually wearable. Kinda... you'd have to stand all night if you didn't want to crush the pleats... and that would go for the limo ride too. Anyway, would be cool to see in person alright. Thanks for sharing your pics!
ReplyDeleteTotally cool and to see it in person would be so awesome.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I've seen some dresses made out of patterned paper instead of newsprint. They were absolutely beautiful! I'd hate to have to make too many trips to the "ladies room" though! This takes talent!!! Go for it Roni!!!
ReplyDeleteOh this looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl my grandparents lived in Ft. Wayne. We'd visit at Christmas and go downtown shopping--it was such a thrill to be in the 'big city' hearing Silver Bells piped over loud speakers and the whoosh of the bus doors opening letting off shoppers decked out in their plastic holiday corsages. And the big tree all lit up at night...and a big department store--the name escapes me--where I was always treated to white chocolate, which totally fascinated me--how did they get it white??...LOL. Nothing beats a Midwest Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky day for you! I would love to see one in person.
