The Card Toppers come in packages of 6-30 pieces depending on sizes & designs. Just to give you an idea of the assortments, the 2 large full sized Christmas Card Toppers came with 6 pieces. The Christmas Door had 2 designs (3 each) and the Christmas Tree came in one design. The Garden Pots & Urns included 45 different pots/urns in various sizes and colors.
Let's begin with the Christmas designs...
Supplies: (for both examples)
Flower Soft Christmas Card Topper (door & tree)
Flower Soft Petals
Flower Soft Adhesive
Glossy Accents - Ranger
Stickles - Ranger
Posh Accent Pen - Gold - Ranger
Cardstock - Bazzill
Instructions:
1. Apply dots of the Flower Soft Adhesive where you wish to add Flower Soft. Here I want to add some Ivory Flower Soft above the door to give the look of freshly fallen snow...
2. Sprinkle the Flower Soft Petals over the adhesive and shake off excess. NOTE - If you want to make extra sure the petals are going to stay in place lightly pat the petals down into the adhesive.
3. Continue to add Flower Soft by repeating steps 1 & 2 until you are satisfied with your card.
And here is the finished product...
I used Christmas Green on the 2 potted evergreens on each side of the door and added dots of Russet Red for accent. The wreath was made using the Vintage Christmas Mix Petals with a Russet Red bow. Finally, "snow" was added above the door and on the stoop using Ivory Flower Soft. As an added extra I applied Glossy Accents to the door handle, mail slot and window. Brings it all together for a wonderful winter scene don't you think?
Next I worked with the Christmas Tree Card Topper.
Instructions:
1. Apply a "garland" of Flower Soft Adhesive in desired pattern. Note - I made this more of a solid line as opposed to the dots used on other projects. I wanted to be sure there was a solid coverage for the finished garland.
2. Sprinkle the Flower Soft over the adhesive and shake off excess.
You can see by this photo the dimension that the garland gives the tree...Truly amazing!
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 if additional dimension is desired.
And here is what the final card looks like....
Ivory Flower Soft was added to the ruffle of the curtains while Glossy Accents and Stickles were added to the candles & ornaments hanging on the tree. Makes for a heart warming and delightful card anyone would be pleased to receive!
Now, I wanted to share with you a couple of projects that pull it all together. I know up until this point I've been strictly making cards using the Flower Soft products. I wanted to demonstrate that it's not only great for cards but can be used on ATC's (which I have 2 designs to share) or scrapbooks as well!
Supplies:
Flower Soft Garden Pots & Urn Toppers
Flower Soft Petals
Flower Soft Wires
Flower Soft Rubber Stamps (Summer Dovecote & Country Window sets)
Flower Soft Adhesive
Distress Ink - Peeled Paint - Ranger
Archival Ink - Ranger
Cardstock/Pattern Paper - DCWV
Instructions:
1. Cut desired pot/urn from the sheet of images.
2. Hold the pot along the edges and roll it over your index finger. This will add a curve to the pot for added dimension!
2. Stamp the shelf from the Country Window stamp set along the bottom edge.
3. Place the pots on the "shelf" to determine placement. You will see I tucked the stamp for the desired image I wanted into the pot.
4. Mark placement lines for the stamp position vs. the pot. This will make stamping MUCH easier without having to guess and possibly ruining the card.
5. Stamp the images. I used Archival Ink for the main image and added green foliage using Distress Inks. Now is also the time to color any of the images in if you choose to do so.
6. Apply dots of Flower Soft Adhesive where desired and sprinkle on Flower Soft Petals. Adding and building colors as you go.
7. Adhere the flower pots in the correct positions using the Flower Soft Adhesive. To hold the curved shape, just add a line of adhesive along the edges of the pots. Gently position and DO NOT press down. The adhesive is sticky enough to grab hold and maintain it's position. If you press down on the pot it will loose the great dimension you gave it earlier.
8. Add additional Flower Soft Adhesive & Flower Soft Petals along the edges of the pots and vines trailing down the edges if desired.
9. Make 3-7 Flower Soft Stems using the method I shared in Part I using desired color of Flower Soft Petals.
10. Squirt a dab of Flower Soft Adhesive into the large pot and tuck the dried flower stems down into the pot. Remember to bend the stems in various shapes as there are no straight lines in nature ;) I even bent a couple down so they hung over the edge of the pot like vines.
And there you go....
Just check out that dimension!!
Here is another ATC which uses an Urn Topper as the base image, stamped foliage for the background and Distress Ink applied with a waterbrush as the "table" for the urn to sit on.
Side View....
Amazing isn't it?
