25 Gifts & Ornaments #13 - Just the Ticket Garland

Today's project is a alot of fun and very quick and easy to make...

25 Gifts & Ornaments
#13 - Just the Ticket Garland
Ticket Garland 2

Supplies:

Stampers Best Stamps: Create a Christmas Ticket SS03213UM; Tis the Season Tickets SS03208UM
Archival Ink – Ranger Industries
Bic Markers
Sakura White Gel Pen
Kraft Cardstock
Snowflake Buttons – JoAnn Crafts
Red n White Bakers Twine – Divine Twine
Large Eye Needle

Instructions:

1. Stamp a blank ticket (from the Create a Christmas Ticket set) beside a ticket from the “Tis the Season” set using a variety of ink colors.

2. Stamp the insides of the blank tickets using desired combination of images from the “Create a Christmas Ticket” set of stamps.

NOTE: when stamping the blank ticket you will need to be sure your image orientation corresponds with the “Tis the Season” ticket it has been paired with.     For example – horizontal “TTS” tickets should be paired with horizontal “CCT” image (see the Season’s Greetings/strolling girls ticket); Vertical “TTS” tickets need to be paired with vertical “CCT” images but must be stamped either bottom to bottom (see the Frosty/Merry Christmas ticket) or top to top so they can be viewed correctly after the garland is assembled.

3. Color the images as desired.  Since I used Kraft colored paper as my base I used Bic markers and a white gel pen.  These mediums show up quite well against the darker papers.

4. Cut the pairs of tickets from the cardstock.  Fold each pair in half as shown and set aside.

5. Measure and cut desired length of twine needed for your garland.  I made mine approximately 15 foot long.
6. Insert one end of the twine into a large eye needle and begin threading snowflake (or regular) buttons on the twine.   I roughly spaced the buttons leaving adequate space for tickets in between each button.

7. Now it’s time to attach the tickets to the twine.  For the vertical tickets simply add double stick adhesive and fold over the twine.

For the horizontal tickets you’ll need to make a cut half way down the fold line to allow the ticket to be centered on the twine.

8.  Once you’re done attaching the tickets, trim off any excess twine.

You’re garland is ready to adorn a tree, mantle, or used on a gift, card, etc.
