Coffee, Snowflakes & Gnomes

Hello Friends!!

Yes it's been a long time but that story is for another day.

Today I wanted to share a card I made for the Coffee & Snowflakes challenge at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. I think I'm going to try to get my Christmas cards made through out the year so I don't have to stress when the time comes to actually send them out.

So today's card was made using stamps from Unity Stamp Co...I have several sets of their stamps that have snowflakes so I just used an assortment from all of them. The gnome & sentiment are from the Coffee, Gnomes & You set.

Here's what I did...

I started off by stamping the background using my Kaleideacolor - Blue Breeze ink pad and the snowflakes. They were a bit bright so I covered it up with a piece of vellum cut to size and affixed to the card using a bit of blue ribbon.

Next I stamped the gnome/cup on a piece of cardstock with VersaFine Clair ink. I added a bit of Prima watercolors but didn't like how it looked so I chucked it all in the trash and went and played some Klondike Two Deck Solitaire. LOL!!!  Seriously - I didn't like how he turned out so I was going to give up.  Well, after about 1/2 an hour I decided to pull it out of the trash and see what it looked like after I cut the image out.  Hmmmm, it didn't look so bad now so I went ahead and finished the card. I'm glad I did because now I like how it looks.

I would like to enter it into this challenge....

Hope you have enjoyed this card...
Have a lovely day my friends!
