It's the 15th and you know what that means...
a new challenge over at Lost Coast Designs!
This challenge is all about items as hard as stone and for some reason this made me think of masculine themed cards so I went with it. I wanted to do something a bit sophisticated so I went with a minimal color scheme keeping things fairly neutral. It all actually started with the blue/grey ribbon I found in my stash. It has a slight pattern which is also smooth and shiny at the same time which reminded me of stone.
I stamped the Architecture Square image on white cardstock using VersaFine Clair Morning Mist which is a charcoal grey color. I inked the edges with a bit of Memento London Fog and added Sky Blue highlights on all of the lines and arrows.
The square was then cut out and matted on black cardstock. A vintage book page was mounted onto a black card panel then wrapped with the inspiration ribbon. I adhered the image to the card using double stick foam tape and finished it off with several little black brads.

ReplyDeleteHi Roni. Interesting concept. Not stamps I would normally go for but you used them very nicely. I have a question for you totally unrelated to this blog post. You use a variety of stamps from different companies. How do you keep track of sentiments so you can find the right one for the card you are making? or the journal page? I have been asking lots of makers this question and so far no one has answered. I think it would be an excellent topic for a post/video. People talk about how they store all their goodies, but no one talks about how they find the exact words or sentiments they want to find for their work. Just curious. I have a few thoughts but I don't want to have to reinvent the wheel if someone has a system that works. thanks as always for sharing.
