Sympathy Cards

Well, these aren't the most fun cards to make but they are a necessary part of life.  Sadly I needed a few recently - normally I don't think to take photos of them but I did these two.

The first card was made using Color Burst powders, IMAGINE Crafts featuring Tsukineko - VersaMark ink, White EP and Clear irRESISTible Pico Embellisher...   The butterfly stamp is from Unity and the sentiment is ClubScrap.com (Trees)

Edited to add: I know most of the time sympathy cards have subtle coloring or are monochromatic but I decided that a little color to brighten a sad time might be in order...  A celebration of a life lived rather than concentrating on the negative.  What do you think?

The second card is all Club Scrap - Trees Collection and all of the inks are Memento.

Hopefully I won't need anymore for quite a long time.

  1. I love both your cards but especially love the one with brighter colors. When I was going through the grieving process it was the brighter cards which gave my spirit a lift. But then I'm unconventional as I wore a red blouse to my late husband's funeral. Some rules are meant to be broken. And yes it should be a celebration of life and remembering the good times in my opinion.

  3. I'm sorry for your loss. Your cards will be well loved. I agree, sympathy cards can be bright. I actually bought a bright coloured sympathy card because that's my stamping style.
