Clean & Simple with Color Burst

Normally you wouldn't think of those two together but there it is...Clean & Simple card designs incorporating Color Burst Pigment Powders.  That's what I did today!

As you know I'm playing with Color Bursts recently and I've been challenging myself to try some CAS designs - not easy for me but I'm trying.

The first card I made was this one....  The strip at the bottom was made using the Color Burst and the flowers were stamped with shades of orange Memento ink - a very rarely used color for me.  The stamps are from the Altenew Scribbled Flowers set.  

I used the sketch from Clean&Simple FTL3.  I followed it almost exactly!

The next card was made using Color Burst a few ways...first the background - CB was sprinkled onto some watercolor paper then spritzed with water; the flower was stamped on white cardstock using StazOn ink - I then spritzed it with Frost Shimmer Mist and sprinkled the Color Burst over top.  If you enlarge it you can see the shimmer from the mist.  Finally the butterfly stamp was misted with water and I dabbed some CB on the image lines and stamped.  I love how it turned out.  All of the stamps for this card are from the Dreamy Daisies set by Stamp It Australia.

The sketch used for this card was Clean&Simple FTL4.  I had a tougher time following that sketch - I added the butterfly and pen work lines to the background block.

And finally my last card I did add far more than in the sketch but hey, I was doing pretty good up to that point LOL!!  The side strip is CB - the background stamp is Deep Red Stamps Grungy Background and the Sentiment is from the Dreamy Daisies set from above.  I added the resin flower and lots of sequins just because.

 So there you have it!  My almost Clean & Simple cards using Color Burst as a jumping off point.  Hope you are inspired to give CAS a try even if you're like me and fudge it a little ;)
