Embossing Resist w/ Gelatos

Today I wanted to show you how easy it is to create a resist card using Gelatos.

First you need to emboss your design on the cardstock.  For this example I'm using a black tag and clear embossing ink/powder.

Scribble on desired colors of your gelatos....

Then begin rubbing them into the design.  I'm using a couple colors for the flowers and blue for the background.

And here is what it looks like.

I have also used the same technique on white cardstock, again, using clear embossing ink and powder.    I used a few more colors for this example.  I used red & orange for the petals, brown for the center of the flower and green in the background.  You can see how some of the gelatos cover up the embossing a bit and there are a few smudges here and there.  I'd like to say I did that intentionally to show you how to fix it but I have to be honest, I'm a bit messy when playing so this is natural.

It's an easy fix though!  Gelatos are very forgiving.  Simply pull out a baby wipe and you're all set.  To show off the embossing gently swipe the wipe across the top of the embossed areas.  The baby wipe takes the excess gelatos right off really making the design pop.   You can also use the baby wipe to blend the gelatos or take up mistakes with ease.
