Bridge Anyone?

Well, I've put it off long enough...there is no project today ~ I've been having back trouble and I've been moving exceptionally slow today.  I've had back trouble on and off for about 20 years now and it's no fun.  I had back surgery in '97 so every time I injure it I'm always worried that I "really" screwed something up.  This was one of those times.  It hurt in a place it's never hurt before which really scared me.  My back is getting better, it's just slow going.

I do have a valentine's day project that's about 3/4 of the way done but I just can't sit in here any longer.  Glue is drying so I'll finish it up and share it with you tomorrow.

In the mean time is there anyone out there who still plays bridge or would like to learn how to play bridge?  I bought a box of stuff at an auction last fall and in the bottom were 6 small books on instructions, tips, leading cards, etc.

I was hoping someone out there might be interested in them.  If you are, e-mail me and I'll pop them in the mail for you.  I don't know anyone who knows how nor do I have time to learn myself so I'd be happy to pass them along to someone who does.

Anyway, hope you have a great evening...

  1. Roni, I'm sorry to hear you're having back pain! It sucks! Especially if you've been dealing with it for years. I'm in the same boat. It has changed my entire life. Being crafty helps on the days I can't do much else. There's a silver lining...some days it's jut harder to see! Hope you feel better soon!

  2. So sorry you are having pain again! Make sure you do what you need to do to take care of it. Don't push yourself!! (Jeeze, I sound wicked bossy). We love ya and want you to take it easy and get better. We are supposed to get a boatload of snow today/tonight and I will be watching from my warm craft cave.

  3. I'm sorry to hear about your back. I do understand the fear of hurting it again, although I've never had to have surgery. I'll be praying for you.

It's kinda funny you should mention bridge. My DH and I were watching a Hercule Poirot (Agatha Christie) movie a couple of nights ago. The characters were playing bridge and Hercule used their score cards to help solve the murder. I'd love to learn more about the game.

Thanks, Roni, for all you do and share with us.

  4. Hi Roni, hope you are feeling better soon. I love card games. Well all games actually but it's so difficult to find someone to play with. It seems computer games have taken over. I miss the social fun when you play with a real person or 3....
