August Get Inked - Vintage Transportation!

Hey There Everyone!
I hope you're having a great week so far.
Today I wanted to share August's Get Inked Kit with you and give you a chance to win a set of the stamps for your very own.

This months theme was Vintage Transportation and did I ever have fun coming up with designs for this kit.  Ya know there are just too many fun and funky old timey was to go from here to there.  Some of those inventors were so smart and their creations are still in use today while others fell short.  So this set celebrates those inventions!

Here are the stamps....

And here are the projects for this months kit.
I decided to make an ATC Holder and ATC's to fill it!
GI - August 2011 005

The extras with this kit were grey ink and Metallic Rub-Ons (which I love!)
so it was fun to incorporate different techniques on each ATC using these products.

  3. These are wonderful; nice job Roni! My favorite mode of transportation is my car. I really enjoy taking a nice leisurely road trip and seeing all the wonderful people and places our country has to offer. I enjoy traveling by plane, too, because everything looks so different from up above; it's just not as up-close-and-personal. :)

  4. Gorgeous stamps Roni - I love them all, especially the hot air balloon. My favorite mode of transportation would be by ship, the waves acting as a sort of a cradle, see-sawing back and forth.

  6. Hi Roni -

What a wonderful set of stamps. I love what you've created with them too. Could you give us a mini tutorial on how you made the ATC Box? I think that's an awesome idea.
As for my favorite mode of transportation, it would have to be my car. But I would have loved to travel on those old luxury Pullman trains.

  13. Wow Roni! Those are awesome! My favorite mode of transportation would be a stamping cruise! I say would be because I have never been on a cruise let alone a stamping cruise! LOL!

  14. i want one of those transporters from Star Trek-- get there immediatly. I spend 2 hours a day on a commute so I would save a heap of time...all the better to have time to get crafty

  15. What beautiful cards and stamps. I'd have to say that my favorite mode of transportation these days is actually walking. I drive so much that I wish I lived in the center of town and could walk everywhere. Not very glamorous, but sometimes it's nice to be able to take the time to see everything. Next to that I love to bike to get where I'm going.

  16. These are great stamps and I love your ATCs and the holder. I love flying...everything about it. Well, security, isn't so much fun, but I love watching the people and the excitement of a new journey ahead.

  17. Love the stamps and you really have me thinking on this one. Fav mode of traveling. Since it can be imaginary I would go with flying myself, just me like a bird but with no flapping of arms. I use to have dreams were I would fly, swooping over the ground, marvelous feeling.
    Love your ATCs

  20. Love the set! I'm already thinking of many projects I could make. Thanks for the chance to win... crossing my fingers.

hmmm... any mode of travel I enjoy, except for flying because the air pressure just does not make my sinuses happy at all. I endure it if I have to. It'd be nice to be able to apparate like they did in Harry Potter. But back in reality, cars are so convenient for local jaunts and we really enjoy vacation driving trips in the RV. But kayaks sure are a fun way to enjoy our waterways!

  21. Wow Roni, I am just crazy about these stamp images...especially the dirigible and the clipper ship! Your ATC's are awesome as usual.
My favorite mode of transportation would have to be by bicycle! Although I rarely ride a bike anymore, it was my only mode of transportation while in college and I love the feeling of freedom that it brings!

  23. My father was a Merchant Marine during World War II. I don't know why but I have always been fascinated with the Clipper ships. I live in Minnesota but I love the water. I think it is my love for him.

  24. I'm a bit of an aviation buff so the stamp of the biplane (especially since it looks like an image of the Wright brothers' flying machine) would be much loved. :-) Thanks for the chance to win this great stamp set.

  26. i'd love a magic carpet ride, or the back of Pegasus, the winged horse. wouldn't that be fun? but since i'm scared of heights, i guess i'll stick w either my two feet or the car. humdrum i know

  27. Really great set of stamps with some wonderful images. Even with all the different ways to get around though, I love my car the most. If it weren't for all the traffic, I would say it's my favorite place to be!

  28. Such wonderful ATCs! You are an amazing artist and I just love your blog. Your stamps are also incredible and I am crazy about the vintage style.

  30. I love these ATC's you've made! Vintage travel has always interested me and I would have loved to live then! Except, I'd actually like to be able to live during "all" times...so MY mode of travel would be a "Time Machine"! Imagine being able to actually see these things being invented & tried!! That would be a dream come true!!!

  31. Favorite mode of transportation - car - because I love to see the country & stop whenever I feel like it. Dream mode transportation - hot air ballooon, can't think of a more heavenly way to view the country side!

  32. Awsome ATC's Roni!!! I flew in a twin propeller once and loved it! You can see so much more in them because your not flying as high as a jet....although I love flying in a jet to because it feels like you can just reach out and touch the clouds! What kind of material do you use for your ATC's?
    Tfs!

  33. I've only traveled by car and plane but I dream of going cross country by passenger train. I would love to go first class on the orient express I did say I was dreaming didn't I? Wonderful cards Roni
    Thanks

  36. My favorite "real" method of transportation is my van but I wish it were a cloud. Think about how amazing it would be to just be able to sit on one and let it float you to wherever it wanted to go. Kind of awesome.

  37. Uuuuh, wow!
What a great bunch of sples you made!
I love the Stamps and how you used them!

I absolutley love to go by Bike: fresh air, fast forward-coming (can I say so in english?o0) and going home without loopway!
The only better way of transporting myself through the city would be a steam-driven Bike which looks like the old ones :)
