Well here is what I came up with....
Quick and Easy
Halloween Treat Bag Covers
Supplies:
Cardstock (each 12x12 sheet will make 3 covers)
Pattern Paper (or stamped paper)
Adhesive
Stapler (optional)
Stamps (optional)
Ink (optional)
Cardstock ovals
Instructions:
1. Cut your cardstock into 3 - 4" strips. Repeat as many times as necessary. (20 treat bags = 7 sheets)
2. Score each strip of cardstock at the following marks - 1.5", 5.5", 8".
3. Cut a 1"x4" strip and a 2.5" x 3.75" rectangle of pattern paper for each treat bag. Affix the 1" strip to the upper flap and attach the larger rectangle to the treat cover as shown.
NOTE: Just one strip of adhesive on each will do the trick!
4. (optional) If desired add an oval stamped with a sentiment to the flap as shown above. If you don't want to take the time to stamp a sentiment, simply cut an oval from pattern paper.
5. To cover the treats fold the top of the baggie over the front panel, lower the flap and either tape shut (for smaller children) or staple shut.
Optional Closure Idea: If you'd like to take an extra bit of time you could punch two holes through the treat cover and baggie, thread with raffia and tie a bow.
Your baggie of treats now has it's very own neat little Halloween costume!
Of course you could use this idea for virtually any holiday or occasion.
Simply change out the pattern papers, stamps, color scheme to fit your needs.
Hope this helps!!
Great idea!
