CD Calendar - April - Distress Ink

I am so excited about today's technique...it's not new, it's not hard ~ very easy as a matter of fact BUT it is one of my FAVORITE Ink Blending Tool/Distress Ink techniques.....Spritz & Flick! Since the old saying goes April Showers...it's perfect for this months page!

Distress Ink - Ink Blending Tool

Spritz & Flick!

Supplies:

Cardstock

Distress Ink

Ink Blending Tool & Foam

Mini Mister (filled w/water)

Heat It Craft Tool

Embellishments

Instructions:

1. Apply a generous layer of Distress Ink (I'm using Broken China) over then entire piece of cardstock using your Ink Blending Tool & Foam.

2. Spritz 3-4 squirts of water into your hand...

3. FLICK! Flick the water onto the inked cardstock and let it set. You will notice after about 10-15 seconds the magically the ink starts to pool around the edge of the water droplets.

4. Dab the excess water off and either let the cardstock dry naturally or speed drying using the Heat Tool. Your cardstock will look similar to this....Awesome isn't it! I just LOVE the look.

5. Embellish as desired and mount on the correct CD. I have added Distress Stickles to my flowers and covered the vintage image with Rock Candy...it's hard to see in the photo but looks great in person!

So there you go!

We're 1/3rd of the way through the year already!

We're in line to get the snow that's been pounding the central area of the country as well as an additional dose of lake effect snow! Anywhere from 3-9" over the next 24-36 hours!!
