This year has been a strange weather year in Indiana. It's been abnormally cool all year long ~ summer never really felt like summer and for some reason we seem to have skipped autumn and gone straight to winter! Our normal highs are in the mid-60's this time of year but we've been in the mid 40's!!!! Brrrrrrrr....
Today I woke up to find we had a "killing frost" overnight so I thought I would take a few photos of what will be the last flowers of the year....
These photos are beautiful. I had a real feeling of melancholy as I looked at the frosted blossoms. Thank you for sharing. WRE
