You can create a charm using ANY image you desire ~ You could use the whole postcard or just a partial image. I'm using Scrabble tiles for this particular example but you could of course use checkers, poker chips, and more. Virtually any game piece that has a flat side is good to go.
Let's do it!
Postcard Art II
Scrabble Charms
Supplies:
Printed Postcard Images (or collage images)
Scrabble Tiles
Glossy Accents
Rotary Tool
Tiny Drill Bit
Foil Tape (copper, gold, silver, etc)
Sandpaper (optional)
Bone Folder
Scissors
Jump Rings
Instructions:
1. Apply a small dab of Glossy Accents to the Scrabble tile.
2. Place the image onto the tile and smoosh it around till you have the desired area framed on the tile.
Let them dry...
3. Trim the excess paper off and sand the edges if needed.
4. Apply the foil tape around the edge of the tile. The excess foil should be folded over onto the back of the tile. Burnish each side and the back with a bone folder to ensure good contact and smooth out any imperfections.

5. Using the rotary tool & the small bit, drill a hole in where desired. You could of course move this step up to the top but I like to drill the hole after the image has been applied. I like to make sure I don't drill through and important part of the image.
6. Apply a layer of Glossy Accents to the charm and let dry.

7. Add a jump ring and your charm is ready to be used!
