Flickr/Picnik Problem & Pot 'o Gold Contest!!

Well, I have a new Leafing technique ready to share with you but it seems that Flickr/Picnik is having issues....I can't edit any of my photos. They get stuck 1/3rd of the way in and it just sits there. Hopefully they will get their "****" (fill in the blank) together and I'll be able to share it with you tomorrow.

In the mean time I thought I'd share the give-a-way I had planned to post tomorrow!

Since we've been talking about leafing flakes and St. Patty's day is next week I thought I would give a way a small clear stamp set with some gold leafing flakes....my own version of a pot 'o gold ;) LOL!!

So, what do you have to do to win?

Tell me what your favorite GREEN item is...it can be something large or small; something you own or don't; it can be whatever you like from fresh cut grass to a pair of green shorts. Maybe you have a green pair of shades or shorts that you dearly love....whatever it is, tell me and you'll be entered to win!

You have until...yep....St. Patty's Day to post your favorite green thing at which time I'll draw not one but 2 winners (using random.org)!!

So come on folks ~ tell me what your favorite GREEN item is!

And don't forget...I have a huge list of St. Patrick's Day Quotes, Proverbs & Sentiments listed if you need some ideas for a card.

TTFN Friends!

  1. Moss. I love it! I have it growing around my house and find it fascinating. It's gorgeous in Macro pictures too.
I also love the green walls we painted the studio, it's very inviting and refreshing to look at.

  2. My favorite green item is the mold growing in my refrigerator...just JOKING! Actually, it's the green Ipod I got my son for Christmas. I'll never forget the look on his face as long as I live. He LOVES that Ipod. Money was short this year and we didn't think we'd have much of a Christmas. My son was fine with that. He's a giver...not a taker. This past Christmas green became my new favorite color. Thanks for helping me remember that.

I used to love looking at the green scum that collects in the swamps. Swamps are actually quite beautiful!

  5. My favorite green thing is a new leaf - actually kind of yellow green, but wonderful to see anyway. It has been winter here for so long, I am anxious to see the green of Spring.

  8. I never was much of a "green" person until I started making cards and now find that I love it as a base colour, particularly olive/sage. But I have to agree with Vicki above -- my absolute favorite green is the new spring leaf green -- it only lasts a couple of days but it just lifts my spirits after the white and brown of winter.

  9. My fav green thing is my beloved home of 4 years- Seattle, the Emerald city! It's so clean and green and gorgeous here. The air smells fresh and I get to see mountains whenever I get into my car to go anywhere. Everything is clean and green - grass, coniferous trees, amazing flowers, plants and greenery of all kinds because of the mild, wet climate. And in the summer, at least, it is sunny yet cool most of the time.

P.S. Those boxes of leafing you have look so cool! I don't even know where i got mine. It's in a Tupperware container and doesn't look half as fun as yours. But hey - it works!!

  12. Hello, my favorite green thing I have to say is my cat's green eyes. Oh, my gosh they are big as nickels and when he gleams at you, you can’t help but be taking in by the vast hues of green of pear and emerald that is outlined in gold. He is black as an Ace of spades and you can’t help but notice his beautiful eyes.

  17. One of my favorite green thing is the leaves on my house plants. I have a prayer plant, a huge Christmas cactus, + a newly bought shamrock plant that I got today in celebration to Tuesday's holiday. :) I love getting those plants this time of year from my local grocery store because it reminds me of my grandmother. She always had one growing in her house when I was growing up. :)

  19. Okay, so call me shallow or materialistic but, my favorite green thing is MONEY!!! We're talking bills of any denomination, however, Ben Franklin has my heart. If I can't choose that *tear* then a 4-leaf clover would be next. I have never seen one in real life but, I when I was a kid I would spend hours outside searching the clover patches for one. Even today, on warm summer days, you can still catch me searching through the clover patches with my kids :) Ah, that elusive 4-leaf clover. I will find you...someday.
