Streuter GlueFOIL - CHA Sneek Peek & Give-A-Way!!!

Hey Everyone!

I just got the o.k. to share the lo's I made for Streuter's booth at CHA next week!!! They all feature Streuter's GlueFOIL - a sheet of metal which has their wonderful Glue Film bonded to one side. It comes in 3 finishes (at this time) - Aluminum, Stainless Steel and my favorite Copper! Mmmmmm, I just love that stuff!

Anyway, here are my lo's...

I used a variety of techniques as you can see...some of the FOIL has been embossed, painted, die-cut and hand cut. I also created a couple image transfers with it as well....

JOHNSON

You can't really tell by the photo but this lo is very dimensional. I used Ranger's Acrylic Dabbers to paint the metals, scissors to cut it and there is even a bit of Flower Soft scattered here and there as highlights :)

Summer Fun!

This is my nephew Matthew and Bob playing around this past summer....it was such fun! I embossed the side bar section with a wide variety of materials - everything from chicken wire to skeleton leaves! I also die cut the metal in my Zip-E-Mate.

Streuter - CHA Winter 09006

Tiny Miracle

Another set of embossed tiles but this time using Cuttlebug embossing folders. The photo is an image transfer onto Stainless Steel GlueFOIL.

Snips & Snails

And my favorite - another lo featuring Matthew is another image transfer but this time onto Copper GlueFOIL....told you I loved this stuff. It's amazing how cool they turn out. The buttons and side strip are also copper FOIL that has been embossed.

Isn't that stuff just awesome!!!

Now, for the give a way....

and
what you would like to use it for!

Post here or e-mail me by the 31st at which time I will draw out one lucky winner who will win 1 package of Copper and Aluminum GlueFOIL as well as a package of GlueFILM to try!

So, let's here it...you can't win if you don't speak up and post :)

Good Luck Friends!!

Have a wonderful day!

  5. WOW I just can't wait to try out this stuff. It looks absolutely amazing. I just love those transfers that you've done, especially the feet. I think that's what I'd go for first, but then again I also have a bug and the patterns look so sharp and clear, so maybe I'd have to have a go at that too - Ooooohhhh the possibilites are endless!!! TFS and the chance of winning some to try xxx

  10. I really like the idea of running through the Cuttlebug for that embossed look. Think that would look cool as a roof on an altered house. How did you do that transfer? Have to try that!

  11. hi Roni,
i would love to try the image transfer--cool look

  12. Nice work, Roni. My fav is the Johnson house piece. Very "in" look right now.

Once again great minds think alike. I was just thinking of this stuff last week and remembering that I got a sample of the silver and haven't used it yet. Too funny. I didn't even know you could emboss it - I thought it was silver foil. Or... wait... maybe that IS what I got and you're talking about something completely different. LOL - you're used to my "blondness" by now, right?

Anyway, I would use the metal on the cover of an altered book for added dimension and flash. Fun!

I'm still working with the glue film and trying not to wrinkle my papers. I think I will concentrate on using it to affix the heavier pieces.

Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.

    (((( hugs ))))

  18. Wow! I wish I'd never have seen this stuff. I think it would be awesome on any card or page, and the embossing is so cool. I think I would like to emboss it and make stick it to a pre-existing picture frame. Oh, and Christmas cards and Thanksgiving cards, and well...everything!

  23. I think it would be awesome for layouts, cards, and milti-medium species! I bet it would be cool to put a verdigris finish on the copper and use that! I'd also take the aluminum and buff it really shiny like a mirror!

  24. I love metal. Period. The suggestions for a house roof- that was what I thought of at first as well. Also, covers for altered books, altered jewelry, frames, endless possibilities. One advantage to using it would be the adhesive is already attached.

  32. Roni, I can't believe how amazing you are. You managed to do those projects for Streuter AND continue to work on your book?!! You are Wonder Woman!! LOL!
I love all the projects but the embossed tiles are just spectacular. I would love to see these projects in person because I know that photos don't capture the full effect. If I had some of that "stuff", I'd want to experiment with embossing it using found objects!

  37. I'd love to make some artwork for my kitchen and dining area - I'm working on decorating it very slowly using a lot of primitive details. A patchwork piece of patinas and textured metal squares would be a great addition. I may even be able to use some of the old barn board and beams in the house for the texturing...

  39. First: Amazing work. Thanks for sharing this to us. Hope you have had a great time at CHA

I have seen a demo of this glue-foil from CHA..and the way to use it seems to be endless...woowwww.

My first idea to use it is to decorate different elements of grunger-board.
I have bought my first acrylic-album today...I wish I have had this glue-foil right now...

I love the vintage- and shabby-shic style, and use a lot of antique-gold, and silver crakcle-paint...but sometimes I think its try soooo slowly..glue-foil will be much better.

I think to use white crackle-paint fist, let it dry and crackle well and use glue-foil will give a nice look..maybe Crackle-accents instead of crackle-paint also will give a cool look....

This is some of my first ideas I will use this glue-foil to..
I cant-wait to put my hands to this stuff....the problem is it takes nearly two or tree month longer, than you in US, before it arrive to Norwegian store..

Hope you think about me again, when you pick the winner..I can promised I will show you my work if I win.
Thanks for a new chance to win.
