Domino Art Give-A-Way!!!

Well I've been talking about dominoes all week on the blog and thought it would be fun to get you in on the action!

Tell me what you would do if you won an assortment of dominoes! Maybe you'd try to make some magnets, an altered key-chain, maybe a charm for a necklace or bracelet? Whatever it is, tell me and you'll be entered to win :)

I'll even include your choice of one of these....

  1. If I were to inherit a bunch of dominos, I would attempt the family photo using some of my favorite stamps. I'd also do a few Christmas orinments.
and I'd share a few with my BFF!

  3. I would TRY to make some jewelry... like those cool neckalaces. I am just starting to become interested in beading and stuff... so that would be a neat tie-in.

I love all three of your samples... just a quick question? I know you drilled a hole for the keychain ring... but HOW? Power tools?

  6. I've been itching to use alcohol inks on dominoes and make a necklace. But now that I've seen your keychains I think I would make make keychains to dangle from backpacks or purses.

  7. I think I would start small and try a keychain. If that turns out then oh the possibilites!
Question on the keychain: Was it difficult to add the key ring on without messing up the front design?

  8. I would use them as covers for mini scrapbooks or photo albums, pendants for jewelry, etc. I love the atc you did with the dominoes!

  11. Well, I don't have any time to alter any dominoes, but if I could win one of the dominoes that you altered I would have to say that I LOVE the keychain!!
Maybe when I finish school I'll be able to get back to crafting. :-]

  12. A bit more on the key chain -

Yes, I did use a power tool - it's a knock off "generic" dremel tool. Basically it's a mini high speed rotary tool that can drill, buff, sand, polish, etc. It's way fun, inexpensive and so very handy to have! Depending on the bit you use it will drill through wood, acrylic, plastics (like the domino), metals, etc. I LOVE mine!!!

Now getting the key chain on - it was a bit difficult to get the key chain piece started because you have to pull it open so far. Once it's started through the hole it's a breeze.

I put it on BEFORE I applied the Glossy Accents. I did this because it's easier to fix the Alcohol Ink that it would be to fix the Glossy Accents. I did scuff a bit of the Alcohol Ink off but it was easily fixed by dabbing a bit more on. Once the key chain was on I applied the GA and let dry.

    HTH :)

  14. Hi, If I had the dominos I would love to try and make myself a small book like Tim Holtz did or the family photo as I am still very much a learner and it would be great to have something new to try.

  15. I'm thinking about making a bunch of pendants to give to our local HS football team's mothers to wear to the games-they usually make something to wear out of wood-and I think these would be much more awesome!!! thanks for the chance to win Roni!! I don't know which I would pick, the keychain or the family ATC?? So you would have to pick for me :)

  16. My mom discovered beading about a year ago. We've been talking about trying to combine our hobbies to make some jewelry. I emailed her the link to the domino art and we plan to make this our first project - I was thinking some keychains and pendants, and maybe some bracelets, too. Just gotta figure out how to drill. Will a dremel tool do it?

  18. I love the works of the altered dominos that you have posted. They are real great inspiration for me! I do hope for a chance to get hold a few of these and try out to make some unique pendents just for my best pals and me and try out the ATC which is real interesting!

It would be great if I can get hold of a piece of your work as they are simply GEORGOUS!

  21. Hi
If I won some dominoes I'd make some jewellery from it.
Especially a necklace. I recently made a few beaded necklaces so that would work well together.

  26. If I were to win the dominos I would challenge the members (40+) of my Fiber Guild to create innovative pieces using the dominos. I would have a meeting time for the displays and voting would be done on the group web site.
Depending on interest I might have to add my own dominos to my winnings.
