HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Woo Hooo!!

It's Halloween!!!

Time to party and dance like nobody is watching!!

This card was created by stamping the skeletons on white cardstock then fussy cut. The black circle is a piece of black cardstock that I stamped with VersaMagic white chalk ink then embossed with white embossing powder.  It is mounted on a scallop circle of Marigold/Marigold Starstruck Foiled Paper.  The kraft panel was stamped with Memento Dye ink and sponged along the edge.

I stamped the sentiment on scrap white paper and assembled it all on a black card base.

I hope you all have enjoyed this month full of Halloween
&
have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!

Imagine - VersaFine Clair Nocturne; VersaMagic - White; Embossing Powder; Memento Dye Ink

Inktober 2018 - Day 29 - Double

Inktober 2018

Day 29 - Double

Well this was sort of hard but not.  I initially had this thought when I saw the prompt was double but I wasn't sure if it went with the theme or not but after trying to figure something else out I just went with it.  First ideas usually just stick in my head.

Yes, she's a bit creepy but it is almost halloween / DOD after all.

Kitty Antique Trial Lens Charm

I have one more cat project I'd like to share with you today...
and I thought it would be fun if it were something a bit different.

A vintage image of a kitty on an antique trial lens.
Makes the perfect charm for any cat lover.

I backed it with vintage sheet music for an added antique feel :)
It's so easy to make but is so striking.

Spooky Kitty

I wanted to share another cat creation with you...

A little kitty lost in the spooky woods!

The background was made with Nuance Pigment Powders.

A Little Demon Told Me...

27th of October

Another day for the 31 Days of Halloween
and
my  51st birthday!!!

Today I created a wicked little piece of me to share...

This little Evil Eye demon was stamped with VersaFine CLair ink then sprinkled with embossing powder and embossed.  I colored him using a variety of Chameleon alcohol markers and a white gel pen.  I added a bit of glitter on his eyes and teeth just to give him a little pop.

The background is another piece I made using Marabu's EZ Marble which is very addictive....once you start it's hard to stop!

He's a pretty scary looking little dude isn't he...
Just love those glittery eyes and teeth!

Supplies:

Lost Coast Designs - Evil Eye
Imagine - VersaFine Clair - Nocturne; Black Embossing Powder
Chameleon - Alcohol Markers
White Gel Pen

Inktober2018 - Day 25 - Prickly

And today's prompt...Prickly.

I'm sure cactus jumps to mind when you first hear the word prickly but I wanted to do something a bit different so I came up with holly.  If you've ever been around one of these bushes you know just how prickly they really are.

It didn't look right in just black and white so I went ahead and colored the berries with Memento Dual Tip markers and a bit of white gel pen.  Now you can really tell what it is and the berries just make it pop!

Quilled Maple Leaf Card

Happy day my friends!
I hope you're all enjoying fall.

Today I'd like to share a quilled card I made for you...

I haven't played around with quilling for quite some time but Rinea Foiled papers are perfect for this type of project so I thought I would give it a go again.

I looked on Amazon and found this darling set of slotted quilling tools and knew they were perfect for the job.

I cut the papers into 1/8" strips and went from there...

The complete instructions are on the Rinea blog today...
I hope you venture on over and give it a look see.

Supplies:
Imagine - StazOn Ink, Delicata Ink
Embossing Folder - Sizzix

Inktober2018 - Day 22 - Expensive

InkTober2018

Day 22
Prompt - Expensive

I know this may sound odd but I really had a hard time with this one...
I don't know why but it really had me stumped.

This is what I came up with...

I guess I'm not materialistic so I don't think in terms of expensive or inexpensive...either that or I'm just terminally cheap - LOL!!

InkTober2018 - Day 21 - Drain

Another day, another drawing
I am very excited about today's prompt
I'll explain below....

I know this is weird but today's prompt is Drain...

I've been watching True Blood for the first time (up to season 4) recently and so vampires are on my mind.  This was the first and only thing that came to mind when I saw the prompt for today - LOL!!

So tickled with how it turned out!

Not so good at shadows with only pen/ink but if I keep at it I will get it.

Inktober2018 - Day 20 - Breakable

Happy Saturday!

Are you ready for another Inktober day?

Today is Breakable...
and I already broke it ;)

I drew an egg but it was just a white oval...what fun is that?

Meeeowww!

Welcome friends!

Today I have my psychedelic Halloween version of the Cheshire Cat for you...

I LOVE this wicked looking Cheshire Cat!

He is wickedly evil and so much fun to color.  Of course I could have stuck with the norm but it's Halloween so I wanted to go all out.  I initially stamped him with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink then embossed him with black embossing powders.

I colored him with a combo of Chameleon Alcohol Markers and Memento Dual Tip Markers.

I then went back and added glitter to his eyes, teeth and claws.  I must say he's pretty wicked looking IRL.  The background was made using EZ Marble medium from Marabu.

Supplies:

Lost Coast Designs - Cheshire Cat
Imagine - VersaFine Clair - Nocturne; Memento Dual Tip Markers; On Point Glue; Embossing Powder
Chameleon Alcohol Markers
Glitter
Marabu - EZ Marble

Imagine & So Suzy Crackerbox Stamps Blog Hop

Hello Friends and Welcome to Day 2
of the
Imagine & Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps blog hop!

It is my pleasure to share these cards with you today...

I love the Halloween Kids image and I knew it would be a great foundation for this card.  I started off by pouncing a mix of London Fog and Gray Flannel onto my craft mat.  I spritzed it with a bit of Ink Potion No.9 then dipped a card panel into it several times and set it aside to dry.

Once dry I spritzed the upper two thirds of the panel with Wedding Dress irRESISTible Texture Spray.  After that had dried I rubbed Morning Mist VersaFine Clair over the sprayed portion.  Next I stamped the Halloween Kids along the bottom with VFC Nocturne Ink.

I die-cut the moon using a round stitched die, spritzed it with Silver Shimmer Spritz and set it aside to dry.  I then stamped the sentiment with VFC Nocturne ink and sponged the edges.

I finally assembled the card, added the die-cut bats; matted with a piece of pattern paper and mounted it on a black card blank.

I also wanted to make a winter themed card because I just couldn't resist this lovely Blowing Snowflake Tree stamp, it's just so pretty.  I stamped the tree using a stamp positioner coloring various snowflakes and swirls with different shades of blue and purple with my Memento Dual Tip Markers. The tree and deer were then stamped onto the panel using VersaFine Clair Nocturne. The sentiment was stamped using VFC Morning Mist.

On Point Glue was dabbed here and there then sprinkled with glitter.  Some areas were glittered a second time for a thicker coating to give it the "snowy" look. Once dry the panel was mounted on a grey card blank.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I have created with these beautiful stamps!

Inktober 2018 - Day 19 - Scorched

Time for another drawing,

today's prompt - Scorched!

Scorched Earth...

I screwed it up a bit on the left side...I was originally going to make it a dried up creek/river bed but I was having so much fun I decided just to scorch the whole thing.

Didn't translate well without the color so I added some Memento inks to kick it up a notch.

Winter is Just Around the Corner...

Hello Friends!

I know it's still October but...winter is coming.

The Color of the Month at Imagine is Pebble Grey (or gray whichever you prefer) and for some reason that brought to mind the peaceful quite of winter show showers that will blanket much of Indiana in the coming months.  If you've never seen snow falling in the grey of dawn or evening then you don't know the beauty of winter.  It is such a breath taking sight to behold.

While this card doesn't capture the full effect of a snowfall it is a fair representation and almost makes me long for a snow covered evening....almost ;)  LOL!!

I wanted to add a bit more to this card so I also stamped the inside with ghostly images of pine trees and a bit of pen work.

For full details on how I created this card please visit the Imagine blog here:

Have a wonderful day my inky friends!

InkTober 2018 - Day 17 - Swollen

It's Wednesday!

Hope it's been a good one so far.

Today's InkTober prompt is Swollen.

Violet Beauregard from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - 1971.
