Layers of Stamping Christmas Card

Happy Monday!  Today I wanted to share a fun way to get a really dimensional look from one stamp. I am using the "An Adorable Christmas Angel" stamp from Crafty Individuals...

This image was stamped 5 times to highlight various areas of the image.  It was stamped as follows:
  • The background frame was stamped with Delicata Gold ink;
  • Next layer up was stamped with a green ink to highlight the trees and snowy background.  The sky was colored with a blue marker and some glitter glue was added to the snow.
  • I stamped her wings in blue and added glitter.
  • The angel herself was stamped with black ink and colored with markers with a few glitter accents.
  • Finally the bough of evergreens & holly was stamped with a different color of green ink.
Each layer was trimmed, colored then mounted to the previous layer except for the angel and bough - they were actually strategically cut so the evergreen bough would slip into her arms and they would both fit together as one.

She was then mounted on a card that I had stamped with Versamark ink (on top) and a Gelli Print panel was added on the bottom.  A few dots of Pico Embellisher was added along with a few sequins here and there to finish the card off!

It's day number 8 over at the Unruly PaperArts 12 Days of Christmas...be sure to stop over and check out all of the amazing projects posted so far when you have time :)
