Steampunk Shamrock Pin

St. Patty's Day is less than 2 weeks away so I wanted to make a pin that would be fun to wear and show off my green.   Well, I wasn't sure what I was going to do when I started messing around but I LOVE how it turned out.

Steampunk Shamrock Pin

Supplies:

2 colors of Green Cardstock
Heart Punch or Scissors to hand cut hearts
Gear Rubber Stamp (StampersBest)
Archival Ink
Gelly Roll Metallic Pens (Sakura)
Ink Blending Tool
Crystal Lacquer
Chipboard
Watch Parts
Glue (Regular Liquid & Super Glue)

Instructions:

1. Cut or punch out 4 hearts from the light green and 4 hearts from the dark green cardstock.  Cut a stem from the dark green cardstock as well.

2.  Stamp the light green hearts with the gear stamp and archival ink.

5.  Bend the light colored hearts in the center and cover all parts with a layer of Crystal Lacquer and set aside to dry.

6.  While the leaves are drying, cut a circle from a piece of chipboard - either color or cover this circle as desired.  (This will be the base for your pin.)

7.  Flip all of the leaves over and apply a layer of Crystal Lacquer to the back and set aside to dry.

8.  Once everything is dry it's time to assemble the pin.  Glue the dark green leaves to the chipboard base as well as the stem.

9.  Apply a line of glue down the fold on the back of the light colored hearts and position them in the center of each dark green heart.   Let them dry completely.

10.  Use super glue to affix desired watch parts to the center of the shamrock and glue a pin blank to the chipboard base.

the only problem is, a shamrock has only 3 leaves, you made a 4 leaf clover
