I think the heat....

has finally gotten to me!

For some reason I cannot define I decided that on the hottest day of the year...and the first day of Summer ~ I tore my craft room apart!  I don't know what to say other than the organization bug bit me hard....

It's a disaster right now as you can see.....

This is my creating desk....

So, needless to say I didn't get my project I wanted to share with you finished....
It is buried somewhere under the stuff on my desk along with a few other projects!

EEEKKKKK!!!!

I'm hoping to get things re-organized within a day or two but we'll see!

So, has the heat driven YOU to do something crazy?

  1. i sympathize! at least once a year, I determine to re-organize my craft space, but then get distracted and end up making "something" out of what I'm unearthing! Enjoy this adventure -- I look forward to what project this stimulates for you!

  2. I did not have as much courage as you, but I'm very glad to see I'm not the only one who can make a mess while creating :-) Hope you get it all organised.

  4. All I can say is....HOLY CRAPOLA!

Wow. I am speechless. I thought my space was a bit disorganized. You WIN!

Ok, to be honest, I stole my daughter's bedroom when she moved out and now I've got a brand new space and have still to totally leave the "office" downstairs where I work for pay. Consequently, the craftroom upstairs is not all filled up yet. And b/c it's upstairs I don't grab those 10 minutes while something is simmering on the stove anymore and I'm not getting as much time in. Sad.

But I cannot wait to see the after photos, Roni! Love your creations and I'm sure your room will be just as sparkling.

  9. Ah, yes, how this reminds me of home sweet home! To escape my own hazardous waste site, I moved, had built-in shelves constructed in two rooms and sold off supplies in two yard sales. Now I'm still messy because I do so many kinds of mixed media work and have a lot of supplies. But I know where my mess belongs if I decide to put it away.

  10. That's my space on a good day! LOL. I tend to go on a "cleaning tear" this time of year though. More daylight = more energy maybe
Just think of the treasures you'll find that you forgot you had :D

  11. I sympathize with you ... I go thorough the same and never seem to get organized at all. My desk tends to look like that most of the time....I am afraid to even open the closet as I fear my DH will never find me in the pile ;)

    Good luck :)

  14. Just did this myself. It took me 6 weeks and at times it was so very overwhelming.

But... now that I'm finished and organized, I LOVE it!

My advice, small steps, like a sensible weight loss program do a little bit at a time.

  15. I can relate! Since you already have the photos done, why don't you head over to Create for Less and enter their Craft Room Makeover Contest.

  16. Certainly had to laugh when I saw your studio. LOL. Are you sure you weren't peeking into the windows of my studio? Sure looks like it.

I have a 24' x 26' studio that is in the midst of being reorganized. Have shelves up and attempting to get things put where they need to be. However, I have been distracted by cleaning out the spare bedroom for visit from inlaws. Can you guess where my studio overflow has been? That's right -- in the spare bedroom. Now I have to get all that out to the studio. Think I'm going to need a bulldozer. LOL.

Can't wait to see the finished organization. You give me hope for mine.

Love your Blog/site as there is so much info here that I have useful in my creations in fiber arts and art work. Great site!

All the best, Terri at the Drake's Nest in Ossineke, MI
