Gingersnap Creations 110: Spicy Supply Challenge - Gears, Cogs & Watch Bits

Today I wanted to share my project for this weeks challenge over at Gingersnap Creations
This week is a supply challenge week using Gears, Cogs and Watch Bits....mmmmmmm Such Fun!!!

And here is what I made....  The background is Distress Stain paired with a Walnut Spritz.  The cogs, gears and mechanical bird are all Scrolls Work stamp images.   The flowers were made using glassine candy cups!

Gears, Cogs n Watch Bits - 7-13-11 - Ink Stained Roni 006

Here is a close up of the bird...he is just filled with all sorts of watch bits and his tail is actually made up from 3 timing springs from vintage pocket watches, some sort of fuse thingy and feathers.  The Mechanical Bird stamp has a key but I decided to chop it off and use a real one, I also stamped him on several different colors of cardstock which I then cut apart and pieced him back together so he really looked like he assembled with various pieces left around the work room.
