Get Inked - Dec 2010 - Snowflakes and Bird

I wanted to share the projects I created for this months Get Inked Kit...as I mentioned yesterday the stamps consist of 3 different sizes and shapes of snowflakes, a flourish, the sentiments ~ "Jolly" and "Let it Snow" as well as a little bird tucked in a pine bough.

The projects I made were centered around the kit inks...
Lavender Brilliance ink and Celadon ColorBox ink.

and for an extra surprise from me as a thank you to the kit subscribers I added an extra project ~ this charm using one of those jumbo glass pebbles!  I sent Vicki the pebbles and findings to complete this charm ~ all you'd have to add is the paper to stamp on and the glue to put it all together :)

I'm going to be giving away this charm as well as a set of this months stamps to one lucky winner...

Just tell me what your favorite winter activity is.
It could be sledding, building a snowman or if you live in warmer climates maybe it's an early morning swim.  Whatever it is be sure and post a comment cause you can't win if you don't enter!

You have until 12-15-10 to enter to win!

Good Luck Friends!!

  1. Hi, your cards are stunning as usual :) and the stamps are so pretty.
I didn't have to think for long about my favourite winter activity because I always look forward to coming home from a Winter walk and drinking a large hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream on the top and sometimes some flaked chocolate on the top of that (you need lots of calories in the Winter to keep warm :D)

  2. Love your cards and the charm as well! My favorite winter activity is staying inside and getting all crafty and warm while it's snowing like mad outside.

  3. I love your cards. As always, your stamps are wonderful. I recently purchased your November stamps and I'm loving them.

My favorite winter activity is sitting next to the fire reading a good book or drinking a hot toddy and watching the flames.

  4. The stamps are so beautiful and the glass pebble pendant would make a nice gift!
It has snowed once where we live and it was such a big deal my husband took the day off so he could enjoy it before it melted! My favorite Winter activity is taking phtos of my kids playing in rain puddles with their cute boots and gear... then bringing them in for a hot bath, Jammies and hot chocolate. Your 1st commenter Jolanda sounds like she REALLY knows how to make a great cup of hot chocolate... we're going to her house : )

  9. I would love to have/win this stamp set. That little bird is just what I'm looking for! I love these cards,Roni, and that charm is so adorable! I live on the Oregon beach :) and we don't see a lot of snow. About 4 yers ago, though, we had about 6 inches ON the beach!! It was SO COOL!

My favorite activity in the winter (snow or rain) is staying next to the fire with a crafting book and a glass of wine! Either that or actually crafting away in my own little corner of the world! With or without the wine!! :)

  11. Beautiful cards and charms by Roni as always...

The snow flakes! The Flourish! The little birdy! And the sentiments in a such a beautiful font, OMG, the entire set is simply awesome!

Located in a tropical country like Singapore, we won't get a taste of winter. But I always dream of sitting at the fireplace with a group of girlfriends for a great coffee session; sitting by the window to see the falling snow flakes; and enjoying the fun of building snowman!

  12. On those rare occasions when we have snow, I love to go for a walk or just play with my son. Otherwise, I love making soup and baking, reading and crafting.

  13. My favorite winter activity is to be inside, snug and warm, finally getting to play in my studio and watching the birds out the window. I am not much of a cold loving gal and Wisconsin is cold! I do love to take a drive after the heavy snow and take pics of it hanging heavily on the pine boughs and sitting on the naked trees. It is so beautiful to see that, but the temps, no thanks!

  14. love your art.
I will have to admit, I am not a winter person - I would have to say, my favorite winter activity is staying in side by the cozy warm fire staying warm!
    Thanks for the inspiration!

  15. Beautiful cards! Love these stamps, especially the Chickadee on the pine branch. Hmm, favorite winter activity would be crafting! I actually have more free time in the winter than any other time of the year and I love to spend that time in my craft room.

Lovely cards! Creative use of those stamps!
My winter activity? Hmm let's see, just about anything I can do near the fireplace - snuggle up with a book, a movie (even hubby)!
    Thanks for sharing.

  18. I hate being cold so winter is not my favorite time of the year. Really, my favorite winter activity is staying warm! Don't need any special skills, just a good heating system. I do however enjoy watching my dog enjoy the snow and last winter in New York State, he got to enjoy it - ALOT.

I love FL in the winter and seem to spend more time outside. My favorite is a sunny, dry afternoon on the lanai with a Somerset Studio magazine

Actually, a nice walk in brisk air is always refreshing!! Thanks for sharing all your ideas and many fantastic techniques. It is always fun to read your blog and be inspired by your wonderful creativity.

  23. The cards are wonderful, and I'm loving all the things you do with those glass pebbles.

It didn't take long to know what I love most about winter: a warm fire, a loving cat to snuggle with, and once a year, a hayride through the snow.

My favorite winter activity is sitting by the wood stove in my comfy stay-at-home clothes and watching re-runs on TV...LOL! Not real inspirational, but I do love those lazy winter days!

  28. Wow, your cards and projects are wonderful. I am not an advanced stamper but your step by step tutorials make it look easy.
My favorite winter activity is baking cookies, then sitting down with a mug of hot chocolate and eating them! I also usually try to go snowboarding at least once in the winter but with a new baby I think we'll have to skip that. Cookies and hot chocolate though, I can do!

  29. Love your cards! My favorite winter activity is walking around our neighborhood at night enjoying all of the lights and decorations, and coming back inside to craft in front of a nice fire.
