Ding Ding Ding!!!

1000th Post!!!!

Wooo Hooo!!!!

This very post marks my 1000th post since I started the blog in Nov. of 2007.

Who'd have thunk it ;)

I never dreamed that when I started this blog with encouragement from my friends that it would turn out like this.

I'm so very excited to still be here doing what I love.

I am also tickled that Ink Stains in nearing 1/4 million hits since Jan. of 2008!!!

I'm totally shocked, amazed and grateful to all you folks out there who keep comin' back for more :)

AND

In honor of YOU and Ink Stains I thought it would be fun to have another give-a-way!!!

BUT in order to enter you have to tell me what your favorite Ink Stains technique, project, etc. is.

It can be anything I've posted over the last couple years...

JLMK what you like and you'll be entered to win a surprise package consisting of whatever I can find...could be stamps, products, previously featured projects or cards, or it might even be something yet to come!

You just never know what I'll pull out of my ink stained goodie bag!

You have until 3-21 to post!

  1. I've enjoyed and learned new things on almost all your posts but the one I like the best so far is the Alchohol ink techniques.

  4. Congratulations on your 1000th post. I'm pretty new to your blog but I've found so many ideas and so much inspiration here. I think my favourite would be the fantastic beeswax tutorials, I wanted to have a try at this for ages and finally found the confidence to have a go and loved it so a big THANKYOU for all your hard work

  8. Congrats on the 1000th post! I have found your blog relatively recently, and have been blown away by your awesome tutorials. As someone who doesn't know a lot of techniques, I so very much appreciate how you start from the very beginning; however, I think ALL experience levels have something to learn here! I have shared your site with my ATC group (which this year has become a mixed media group), and we are going to do a CD calendar project inspired by your series of posts. But truly - I couldn't possibly pic just one favorite post - I love them all! Thanks for taking so much time giving us such incredibly detailed how-to's (really, the technical number of 1000 posts is deceiving, given how much you put into each one.... it could be 5000!) Thank you!

  10. CONGRATULATIONS on your 1000th post!!! Like others, I've been spent hours on your site. It's one that I check daily. I don't know that it's my favorite, but I'm very excited to be learning glazing techniques. I've seen this medium mentioned, and I've seen it it stores, but never knew much about it. After reading your post, I went out today and bought some so I'd be ready to "play" when you post your techniques. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!

  16. I think my favorite thing you have taught is beeswax. I just learned how to do beeswax through a friend shortly before you showed how to do it. You showed how to to do it differently then how I was taught, so next time I take out the stuff I will try your way. I was taught to use a mini iron I believe you can buy them in the sewing section at michaels, but i already had one cause my dad makes r/c airplanes and he needed it for monocoat. You just used the heat gun. I like playing with new and different ways to do what I sometimes already know.

  21. I'm very new here and this was still hard. I'm going to go with the technique you used to prepare the cardstock for the Olympic cards. Incredibly cool even before you cut them into strips.

Too many favorites and always so informative! But did really enjoy the Beeswax Collage Tutorial... I have the products most times.. but the suffer nerves of giving it a go.. when you sort of have to teach yourself everything (live remote) takes a while to overcome the fear.. but the tutorial was excellent and made me get the stuff out...:0 IYKWIM??
Congratulations again and thanks so much for sharing so much info! Sometimes people can sort of want to own stuff.. but you are so generous with info and techniques!

I know how excited you must be-that is a HUGE accomplishment! Thanks for sharing them all with us!

I have a hard time picking a favorite of anything but one of my many favs is the stamping with felt and alcohol inks...what a super simple little idea that everyone can do!!!! Any time I get stumped...I just head into Ink Stains and get inspired! Thanks!

  28. Hey Roni -

Congratulations on 1000 posts! You HAVE been a busy little thing! But I am so grateful you are. I know if I need some inspiration, I only have to visit your blog for it. You always have something interesting posted. Some of my favorite techniques that you have posted that I love are, your use of the extra rubber from sheets to create other images is fantastic. I also love your technique with the Ranger White pen and Resist Pad. That one is just so neat. Of course, your alcohol ink flowers are just amazing (how do you come up with these ideas). The Easy Envelopes is one I use all the time now when I need an envelope for a non-standard card size, or just to make a special envelope. And last but not least (you have so many neat things on this blog), I love the Scrabble charms, and your Postcard Art Brads and Pebbles!
So here is wishing you another 1000 posts. And a big thank you from me for all the hard work you put into this wonderful blog. I for one, truly appreciate it!

  29. Congratulations on your 1000th post. I have to say that I get something out of just about all of your blog entries. My favorites are techniques using distress inks as I still don't use them as much as I could plus your series on using the blending tool. If looking for something new or old, I always think "I bet there will be something on Roni's blog", so thank you for the great resource!

So favorite technique huh? This may sound boring, but using the Ink Blending tool with distress inks was the first technique I learned from your blog and remains one of my tried and rue to this day! Not only that, but you gave me my first Ink Blending tool....how great is that?!!
